the more I go down the rabbit hole with Detroit lineups it's painfully obvious they gotta decide on keeping either Stew or Thompson. Granted Thompson is a rook but he only seems to work as a small 4 on the offensive end.

I'd also deal Bojan and Burks yesterday and reconfigure the bench altogether because they get smoked every single game.

A less stubborn coach would always have either Stew or Duren on the floor 42 out of 48 minutes but alas we have Monty in tank mode.

I say the above because most of the prospects in the draft would be more of the same. Gotta deal Ausar or Stew and get back shooting.

I think this is all fair

They need wings who can shoot and who aren’t 35 lol

barring a major move I just think push to shove the top 3 have too much for NY. But OG makes them more viable.

Ham can't be the guy coaching the Lakers this spring. They won't catch lightning again and make the WCF

Depends whcih randle shows up in the offs

He has been looking really good this season.

And they can make another move.

But I think you ride this out first

Ideally they upset the sixers in the first round and embiid demands a trade

How are the Knicks gonna beat the Sixers in round one? I don’t see the Knicks being a 7 or 8 seed especially if they add more.

They’re one game ahead of Miami for the 6 seed, Philly is the 3…

I don’t think you can give up Ausar at this point. He is a jump shot, which isn’t hard to develop, from being great at any wing position. His ceiling is actually being the best player on this team. Stew is a high energy bench player that is starting because we don’t have a 4. He’s too slow to play the 4 and too small for the 5. I don’t think we need to get rid of either, but we do need a real 3 and D 4 desperately. It would make so many of the issues on both ends of the floor go away.

To me Bojan and Burks need to be moved while they have any value. I don’t know what we can expect to get back though, but they and Killian have no future with this team.

But I am still on the Monty as the biggest problem with this team. He has been so horrible you have to believe he is sabotaging not only the team but also specific players. With Cade’s injury and the recent trade he has been forced to play guys he had sitting on the bench and the team overall has looked better. Monty just has no clue how to use the resources he has and continues to try and force a square peg into a round hole.

Idk if he was the right pick for a rebuilding team

But the roster clearly lacks talent

Philly is gonna be the 1 or the 2 seed if they can stay healthy and make a deal. They’re a half game behind the Bucks.

if they give up Reaves they need to find a shooter in the dumpster bin. Having Murray allows you to have him headline lineups without LBJ but still feels like you need more.

I guess getting Vincent back would be big but he was pretty bad before injury.

Yeah, Vincent was good defensively before he got hurt, but his shooting was definitely not what it was in Miami. Hopefully that changes when he returns.

They won’t get the 1
Depends on Embiid and how many games he misses. They’re 24-6 with him this year on the floor. That’s .800 basketball. It’s not likely that they supplant Boston as the 1 but it’s absolutely possible.

The Celtics are playing almost 800 ball cycling guys out for rest

Especially when they’re half assing their trade offers
They’re not looking for a splash guy. That would be a commitment of years and a questionable fit. The only player of that caliber is Dejounte Murray and the Sixers are correct not to jump on that yet. The price is going down when I’m seeing shit floated like DLo a subpar rookie and a 2029 1st being floated as what gets him.

Right now, barring injury, the only thing stopping the Celtics is their impossible talent to snag fb defeat from the jaws of victory in the offs like no other team with their w/l records

I’m not a JHS fan per se.

But he was 17th

Just trade them 2 firsts and be done with it

It’s a sub max deal and not many guys better than Murray would even be available in fa

They’re playing .750 ball. All I’m saying is that it’s possible especially when one out of every 3 contests Tatum tries to shoot them out of games like he did last night.

I think their weaknesses are Tatum hero ball and Joe Mazzulla.
