Why was the case closed? In California, they don't need the family to cooperate in statutory r*pe cases. Based on where they live, the family doesn't need Giddeys money. So, why would they take money to not protect their daughter? As I said yesterday, if that was one of my daughters, there's no check big enough for me to not want it prosecuted.

Last I heard, in California, cooperation from the victim and her family isn't required to prosecute statutory r*pe. Did Giddey payoff the Newport Beach police department? Also, if her family lives in Newport Beach, chances are, they don't need Giddeys money.
