I do have one question for coach Mac...I thought the whole reason we got rid of Moore was that he wanted to "run the damn football" more. Last 3 weeks, Tony Pollard has 34 carries...total. 11 carries a game isn't exactly getting a great return on a franchise salary either
I agree, but I did not expect the O-line to block this poorly and Pollard should have always been the change of pace back.

I think to much of a big deal about the offense. I would bring in Derek Henry and play smash mouth football. This offense would be dangerous with Henry. Jerruh needs to get aggressive. Trade for a quality defender as well. The time to gamble is now!!!!!!

As too the whole "what if we can't find a decent QB in the draft thing"....What if we had taken Will Levis instead of Mazi Smith in the 1st round? Even if Mazi develops into a good player in year 2 or 3? For one thing, Jerry wouldn't have given up a 4th for Trey Lance. But say he did, I like that move too. I would have zero issue letting go of Rush who is a decent backup but will never be a starter. The Cowboys would be in fantastic shape at QB...whether they decide to extend Dak or not

I love the national media. When the Cowboys lose without Diggs and TSmith it's, "no one cares about your injuries".....when the Niners lose three straight, it's "but, but but...Trent Williams and Deebo are hurt" lol
The same thing will happen if the Cowboys beat the Eagles next week. They will say the Eagles lost because of Hurts knee

I think it's cause and effect though. The Rams went all in on FA's, surrounded Stafford with talent, he did great and they won a SB. Then they stripped the team, and he was back to so so Stafford. Now they hit on Puka across from Kupp, and he is doing better.
I think it is simple on Dak. He could have won a SB, but his window was before he got the big pay day. Now, he could still win one, but it will take Jerry breaking form and trading for a couple of impact players. This club, without Diggs, is a piece or two short

To me even without Diggs, this is the best team we have had in 28 years. Either that or the league is just bad- which may be true. Honestly , its been kind of a boring year so far. Of our 7 games, we have totally annihilated 4 teams , and been dominated once. I dont understand the Cardinal loss. Im assuming we overlooked them. We could have lost the Charger game if Herbert was on his A game but then again it was a flag fest and no matter what was going to come down to the end. As far as Qbs - i saw a power ranking of QBs last week. I think Dak was 10 or 11. Kenny Pickett was 17. Kenny Pickett 17 ????? Cousins is now likely done. Who knows about Stafford. That would leave it anywhere from 10- 14 teams using back up QBs or first year starters. That makes for a lot of subpar football. 3 weeks ago there was talk of the old undefeated Dolphins team being a little nervous about the 49ers. Since then they have been beaten by a 3rd stringer, and carved up by Cousins and Burrow. Heck Sam Howell has looked like Marino vs the Eagles. Crazy year.

The Niners remind me of the 92 Eagles team that stomped the Cowboys early in the season that year.

Ouch. They did beat the hell out of Dallas on a Monday night. A month later McMahon and Cunningham were in QB controversy.

That's why you draft them often IMO
Injuries happen and they are a value position

i often said back in the ESPN days I'd draft two DB's each draft.
That's a winning philosophy. People talk about the Packers lucking into Aaron Rodgers. They took Rodgers in the 1st round when they still had Brett Favre. That isn't luck, that's planning. The Seahawks had just paid big money for Matt Flynn when they drafted Russell Wilson. It's on and on. It's a lot easier to have a "QB of the future" when you actually draft one once in a while lol

One game is not a good sample size. Was not a fan of Levis. We will see. Too early for what if's...

The Nashville people today were like you. They hated the Levis pick. They wanted ex Tennessee QB - Hendon Hooker who tore his ACL and went to the Lions in the 3rd round I think. Today the talk radio has been filled with apoligies by the Titan fans. He did play really well but like you said its just one game. As a Kentucky fan , I watched him every game the past 2 years. He was really beat up his Sr year but still didnt play near as well as he did as a JR. He goes to Pittsburgh on Thursday night. I will be interested to see how he handles Watt and Crew.
