I can honestly say I never took the time to watch the movie. And I dig the hell out of Sandra Bullock. This movie just didn't scream "Watch Me Dammit!" for some reason...

Actors talk all the time about how they regret taking certain roles because people think they really are the characters and their lives change forever. Not surprised about Bullock.

As for the family here, it does sound sleazy to me as more details emerge

They still gave you a home

They still made sure you got an education which allowed you to play football and go to college

Which in turn allowed you to make it to the NFL and warm 35M dollars

Even if EVERYTHING Oher is alleging is true he still was far better off knowing them than he would've been otherwise

The 213 million is what the Family was paid after selling thier Restaurant chain ...over 100 locations.
They are and have been very wealthy because of thier restaurant business.

sure... but we dont know why their relationship originally got waned... maybe this is why he did not make a fuss about it for so long, despite being hurt by the movie...

white knighting is nice and all, but lets not pretend that that there is not a lot of taking advantage in it...

The film grossed 309 mill off a 29 mill budget.

If the family was that rich they should have paid some of that 7.8 mill (2.5%) to Oher.

well, he always made it clear that he did not like his portrayal in the movies... or the families... made him look bad... But i am sure him coming out now, was an icing on the cake thing... i dont know much about the REAL STORY... but i doubt he just woke up and said its time to get them white knights!!!
