And Scherzer has been knocked around in 3 of his last 5 starts. That is why I want Verlander between the two. I do not feel good about this right now.

I'd do like Foscue and a lower level prospect. Not much more than that.

When I look at the AL I am not seeing a dominant team. The NL is the another story. Who knows if a strengthening of the pitching staff couldn't make us very competitive at the end of the year. Just a thought.

It doesn't take a dominant club to beat us right now. And our starting pitching could keep getting worse even with Scherzer.

I’m of the opinion that the players have played their asses off this year and deserve to be backed for the GM at the deadline.

BUT… I also agree with everyone here that this isn’t their year and there are just too many pieces missing to start selling the farm.

I’ll be ok with this deal if it goes through and they don’t give up anyone significant.

I am not into a big name wow which is what I feel the Scherzer thing could be. I mean if he comes in and helps us turn the corner then great. I want multiple pieces that can come in and fill in our gaps we have right now.
