If it comes down between Scherzer or Verlander I want the latter.
But for who?
That's the main question. If it includes Porter, that's highly questionable, but if not, it could maybe be a good deal. But for who?

With Scherzer’s no-trade clause they have get his release before that is announcedBut for who?
He’s a rental if Scherzer opts out though. That's the main question. If it includes Porter, that's highly questionable, but if not, it could maybe be a good deal.
And Scherzer has been knocked around in 3 of his last 5 starts. That is why I want Verlander between the two. I do not feel good about this right now.I sincerely hope we’re eating more in salary and giving less in prospects. If we give up a major haul of prospects to have the Mets pick up the bill, I’m not sure that’s the right move.

Hopefully you're right.Looks like not Porter or Walcott
It doesn't take a dominant club to beat us right now. And our starting pitching could keep getting worse even with Scherzer. When I look at the AL I am not seeing a dominant team. The NL is the another story. Who knows if a strengthening of the pitching staff couldn't make us very competitive at the end of the year. Just a thought.
Should be considered almost untouchable along with Carter and probably Walcott.
