Winning a bit lately...long season, terrible division...not out of the running for that. No way they get a wild card.

keep: cease, kopech, santos, burger, vaughn.

trade: bummer, gio, lopez, grandal (or just drop him), anderson, moncada, robert and jimenez.

every member of this team should be available for trade for the right deals, but seriously get rid of those i listed for trade tho.

the problem with this is, of course, getting the right players in return! i have ZERO faith in the sox hierarchy to pull this off. the smart thing for fans to do is walk away from the white sox completely and don't return until they are sold.

The baseball rule changes have sped up the game but haven't detracted from the sport - I'm pleased and a little surprised.

I've seen plenty of White Sox centerfielders play better defense than Louis Robert. Robert has uncommon range, but he misplays balls spinning toward his feet, At the plate there's a guarantee he will swing and miss at a slider outside and low.

Things that impress me: How well Vaughn fields 1st base - how fast Jake Burger runs - how good Middleton and Santos are as relievers. - and how much better Grandal is behind the plate.

As of right now I'm not buying on a Timmy Anderson contract extension.

To put it in perspective, NL East Boston Red Sox are last in their division, yet would be only a half game behind Minny in ours.

The Burgermeister has been one of the few bright spots on the team this season, in particular with the bat. Despite ranking only 7th in ABs, he's just one dinger behind Robert for the team lead and one RBI behind the same for the 2nd most. He's definitely earned a year-long spot on the roster.

So who was the idiot this past winter that suggested Burger would make for a good trade candidate? Oh wait, that was me.

Jake Burger is 8th in the American League Home Run standings. Yet, Burger has 80-100 fewer at bats than the other guys (except for Aaron Judge who has 31 more at bats). Does he need a Cuban name to play more often? His splits show he hits a lot better at home games than road games - so he sits road games more often than not. IMO - the best way to get him used to road ballparks is to have him play through it. It's just a matter of Burger getting used to different hitting backgrounds - sitting him puts more pressure on him to preform - which is counterproductive.

Pedro says: "I'd love to get him more at bats." Well, who makes out the lineup card? Hahn?????

Lance Lynn is done!

lot of teams in the hunt, including the white sox. if they're smart (which they aren't) they will trade heavy! gut this p.o.s. worthless team and aim for 3 years down the road. hold on to a few players like burger (the guy is a winner) and one or two others and get rid of whatever else might be worth anything to anyone. i know they won't improve with just their farm system, which may be even worse than the parent p.o.s. team.
yes, i may not be around to see another winner but i'd still like to know they're trying. maybe even get to see this p.o.s. franchise change ownership!

Hahn: Pedro Grifol is one of the best communicators in the league.

This weekend a reporter asks: Why are you batting Jake Burger 8th in the order?

Grifol: I put out batting orders I think will help us win games - if you don't like it ask Jerry.

LOL

I don’t know if I believe it, but no one is being traded before Hahn is fired.
Let's include Kenny Williams in that request as well. And while we're at it, I sincerely doubt anyone would shed a tear if Reinsdorf was to sell the team.

why would anyone care about trading ANY players on this team? i no longer care if this team even stays in chicago! sox have been destroying their team for years and they're destroying the fan base as well. the jerk in charge will never own up to his own bumbling of the team. fans should stay away in droves until the jerk finally sells this team

I'm back on board for keeping Robert as a Sox.

From the state of the AL Central - I think the Sox could contend and sell off talent.

his k rate is nearly 30%, his hr/rbi rate is pitiful and he's an over-rated fielder and his health is completely undependable. he's not worth his $10M a year. he has a little streak and all of a sudden you're "back on board".
you never learn.

there are no untouchables on this team. not one!

last year was the most disappointed i've ever been in a sox team, but this years team is the most i've ever disliked. instead of coming out with fire in their bellies they have fucking wussed out! they're losers. pathetic play in every aspect of the game. why any sox fan would pay to see these losers is beyond me. these are NOT the 'good guys'.

If we somehow got Ohtani on the Sox, I bet his ERA would be 5+ and he'd hit 12 home runs while hitting .220. We're THAT good at f*cking things up.

At least we won't have to worry abut that. It's already being reported that he'll be joining the Dodgers. Few other teams could afford the massive contract he'll command. My guess is it will easily be the largest in BB history.
