Last night at the start of the pregame show, he said denver got 2 stars while Jimmy is Miami only star and the other guys are role players.

Bam made 2 all star teams lol and Murray made 0. Not saying Murray isn't a star but to say Bam isn't one is crazy
If this doesn’t work out, what do you think about this trade with 3 1sts going to Philly from Miami as well.

Lol

Teams dont get outrebounded by 25 nightly or shoot 37% from the field nightly. Nuggets still only ended up with 109 points.

Also cant see Bam/Jimmy going 18-45 again

:pound:

Pretty sure the Nuggets D had something to do with Jimmy & Bam's poor shooting night. Or do you disagree?

Your team hit 6 more 3's, won the TO battle (14 to 4) and had more steals (7 to 3) and didn't even score 100.

I was especially impressed by the Nuggets rotations in Game 3 and their contesting at the rim. I would absolutely give the Nuggets credit for at least some of the shooting woes for the Heat last night.

I think Bam gets overlooked because he's not flashy and gets overshadowed by Jimmy and even Herro on his own team. Then you add a star or 2 on the opposing team and it's even easier to overlook him.

He does a lot of the "dirty work" (defense, rebounding, etc.) that doesn't really catch peoples eye.

Dude just goes out, busts ass and puts up solid to very good numbers every game. He's not a guy who's going to really bust out by hitting a bunch of 3's in a row or go for 45 points. He's going to play really good defense, get you double digit rebounds and score 18-25 points every night.

He's a guy that the Heat can't get where they are without...the Heat, their fans and the local media know that even if other fans and national media don't.

Not saying they didnt. Point is teams don't shoot 37% on a regular so it is silly to expect it to continue to happen

The team who finished last in shooting % this season shot 45% so yeah keep thinking it is sustainable for a team to shoot 37% for 3 straight games

Lots of untrained eye in the national media. My new favorite word after spo used it following game 2

They deserve credit but holding a team to 37% shooting for multiple games isn't really sustainable

Fair. But the Heat have to finish better at the rim. That’s not a shot luck dynamic. Nuggets beat them in that component of the game. Heat couldn’t finish around the rim but it was because of what Denver did more so than some bad shot luck from the Heat.

Finishing in the paint but the role guys need to hit their 3s. Gabe and Strus had some good looks last night. Watch the film and figure out the paint shit if you're Bam, Jimmy, and Caleb. The rest just need to make their outside looks much more frequently than they did last night in the first 3 quarters

The Nuggets shot 52/39 in game 2 and lost by 3. They shot 51/27 in game 3 and won by 15. Yes Miami had their worst shooting night of the finals but so did Denver(they shot 50/29 in game 1) so if Denver shot even slightly worse in game 3 compared to game 2 they still would’ve won by 30.

Yet I still said this series would go back to Denver 2-2 and I’m sticking with that.

In a different comment you mentioned Jimmy & Bam's shooting numbers. Well last night wasn't Jimmy's first bad Finals game. Game one he only took 14 shots & had 13 points.

So two outta three games Jimmy's been off his game. Sooner or later you'll have to give some credit to what the Nuggets have done on the defensive end.

I was expecting a much different Nuggets team last night after Malone publicly ripped their game two effort.

Malone has been great in these playoffs. Top to bottom, I have a heaping plate of crow to eat. Jokic, Murray, Malone have been extraordinary in May and June. Much respect to the Nuggets.

I said it after game 2 but losing that game might’ve been the best thing for Denver because they were getting a little cocky winning 7 in a row and so that loss might’ve knocked them back down to earth a little bit. I have to imagine some of those players especially people like MPJ might’ve started believing they were unstoppable and needed a little humbling.

The craziest thing I've heard leading up to the Finals is Jokic has never had a teammate that's been an all star or made an all defensive team.

I think the best thing Malone could have done was call his team out. The Nuggets looked like a different team last night compared to games one and two.

I just mentioned in another comment I like how Malone called the team out. It was a wake-up call.

Yes, stripped down unless they were somehow able to replace Pippen with an equal player and Kukoc wasn't it.

If he would have come back if everyone else did doesn't mean he wanted things to be easy.

They would have been trying to win a 4th straight title with an aging roster which would be far from easy.

I get it, you don't like Phil. That's fine.

Criticize him for not being better at X's and O's, or that his ability to manage massive ego's is overrated if you want.

But every coach in any sport at any level, looks for the best situation he can get. No coach wants to take over a team that lacks talent. Those who do, are coaches who lack better options.

Criticizing Phil for doing what any coach with choices would have done is pretty weak.
Didn't really even criticize him. Just left him off my top 3 (said he's in the discussion for #4). Criteria for me to have made that top 3 included willing to take on a challenge and have done more with less. That's not Phillip.

You could have just said that from the start.

You have extreme bias. Nobody that ACTUALLY watches basketball and knows the game doesn't have MJ and Bron at 1 and 2. Plain and simple. You are right to have your opinion but it doesn't mean it is right.

You're showing your own bias. Many have Kareem in there. Some still hold a torch for Russell.
