bryant isnt worth a trade . i would rather keep my picks and see what happens later on if TE is still an issue . losing a 4th string TE doesnt set me into panic mode , hodges can do what rodgers was doing
I am just not sure how we are going to replace 5 catches for 64 yards in 11 games.
I think we should panic and trade for a Harrison Bryant who has elite receiving capabilities off of his college career, which was four years ago, and we should not look at the last three NFL seasons where he has 76 receptions for 710 yards and 7 TDs...total with his best season combining all three categories would be 31 receptions, 239 yards, and 3 TDs.
Bates is not a receiving threat though because his best season in two years is 20 receptions for 249 and 1 TD.
And God forbid we allow Cole Turner to play.
Kiem even said Bates in the blocking TE. Of course, Turner is going to play. They have high hopes for him.
Kiem said it…he must be correct. Is a player capable of being a receiving threat and a blocking threat? I am just curious because I did not realize there was two separate TE positions. Who was the AP receiving TE and who was the AP blocking TE?
How many TEs do we keep?
Right now, THoams and Turner are the receiving Te's and Bates in the blocking TE. Meaning Bates will not be in the game on 3rd and longs. Unless he is stayin in to block.
I think we keep 4 Te's
So is Bryant a blocking TE too because Bates has more receiving yards in a season than Bryant?
Bryant will provide upside. If he can do both great. Like I said I don't think Thomas stays healthy 17 games. I hope he does.
Upside is for first and second year players…not fourth. Bryant has been amazingly consistent so you see no progression.
If Thomas is not healthy, Cole Turner has upside.
However, there's been a lot to like about Logan Thomas' performance levels this offseason, who is the clear No. 1 tight end option currently.
Thomas rounded off a decent OTAs with a standout showing on Thursday. He looks 100 percent healthy and with a renewed sense of purpose to boot, so it's not hard to see how the former quarterback might thrive under a prolific play-caller such as Eric Bieniemy.

Or get the ignore button from Dean...LOL
