I can't blame Curry. His brain was probably fried from carrying the team the whole game and the whole series. No help from his fellow future Hall of Famers. No help from his backup PG. Only Wiggins and Moody have been consistently helpful in each game.
We knew going in this was the weakest of the dynasty teams, not including the years they didn't even make them of course

Honestly, they were lucky to win last year, so I'm not even that pissed about this year. They were very close to going down 3-1 to the Celtics, but Steph saved them and the Warriors grabbed momentum and never looked back.

im getting the feeling the lakers withstood the warriors at their best from 3 point range. 21 3's is more than any of their 1st round games. pointing at jordan poole to have inconsistencies to his game much like in the 1st round.
cant say i didnt tell ya

Sure, but this Lakers team was in the play-in tournament and the 13 seed at the trade deadline. This Lakers team came a long way from that point, but this roster is still flawed as well.

No kidding, what's your point? Doesn't change the fact this Ws team is the least of the playoff teams. Lakers are flawed like every remaining team but they also could win it all. Parity.

Poole and Klay were largely offset by D-Lo and Schroder (10 points but some bad turnovers). Poole didn't get much of a chance to get his game going tonight, as Kerr limited him to 10 minutes. Surprising game by Payton, who took a lot of Poole's minutes.

I just don't like what feels like preemptive excuses in case they lose the series. This game could easily have gone either way, much like game 1.

Is this Warriors team really any different from last year's? Just different matchups in the playoffs.

How much of a chance does Poole need to get his game going? He's been ass all series. Kerr was wise to pull limit him early once he saw he was continuing to stink the joint out

Actually the Payton start worked they just missed tons of shots. I bet he starts again.
Exactly. Gotta think Klay (for one) shoots a lot better going forward. Klay's lack of production over 40+ minutes was really the difference tonight, and no way does he get benched.

10 minutes isn't enough for a player that is a major rotational piece for your team. Playing small really keeps the Lakers from using Rui and Vando as much.

All I have left to say tonight is Lonnie F'ing Walker IV. Kept ready to play despite being nailed to the bench for far too long.

No one is making excuses. The dynasty is simply running its course. Steph is still great, but Klay and Dray are over the hill. The Warriors are long past their 2014 to 2018 peak. They were lucky to win last year. Dray and Klay weren't good last year either. The Warriors were a little better last year because Poole was good and they had vets off the bench like Porter, Iguodala, and Bjelica.

Excuses? If they lose they lose. They may not be good enough, this was the weakest dynasty team, just facts

Yup. If the Warriors somehow win this series, there is no way they are favored against Phoenix or Denver. It's been years since they were dominant. They needed 7 games to get out of the first round.

Against a weak 3 seed that had HCA.

They still have a shot in this series....but their margin for error is extremely slim now.
It'll take a 3 game sweep.

Can they do it?
Maybe.

Will they do it?
Probably not.

Hard to get lucky 3 games in a row. The only thing that gives me hope is that Klay really can't play worse, but yet they only lost by 3. The Warriors are just never going to win if their second leading scorer for the season only scores 9 points in 41 minutes of play. If Klay can hit close to his season average, then maybe the Warriors can climb back into this series.
