Per wookiepedia, Starkiller Base was a rim ice planet called Ilum. That could be retcon’d by the Empire lying about its origin, though.

Or, the first attempt was Mandalor, while Ilum was a fallback plan after the Mandalorians fought back and took the planet back.

Now this is an interesting idea for sure. Hopefully next week we can get an answer to that

And we know that Hux is already a heavy hitter, but he is not at Mandalor. So, theoretically, he is in the uncharted territory, building Ilum?

I'm still trying to figure out how that chick was with the Empire yet went through the "re-training" or whatever other was called process

Apparently, the Hux we met in this episode was the father of the Hux we met in the sequel trilogy. And he was played by the brother of the actor who played Hux in the sequels.

A group of Mandalorians made an assault and despite having jumpbacks get pinned down...for a second time. Bo-Katan now has to rescue Din Djarin for a second time.

I'm guessing we saw one cycle where the good guys 'win' and then we'll see another where the bad guys win.

Damn. That was painfully short. Not even 40 mins.

But a lot happened, so it wasn’t a bad episode.

Who is responsible for building these computer systems that leave gaping holes in their defense from wandering astromech droids??????

I think they could have used a couple of minutes interspersed here or there to help build some dramatic tension. It was action packed and moved quickly and was largely good, but it just needed to slow down a tad bit at certain points.

I would have liked to see Ahsoka or Sabine or a hint that one of the Gideon Clones survived (or survived, but with a horrific face scar and skin bleaching). But I get the sense that they wanted this to be a MANDALORIAN episode, not an Ahsoka episode or a Rebels episode or a full-fledged Force Awakens prequel episode.

I think the pacing was good. Reminded me a bit of the pacing the the last act of Rogue One or some of the other movies and less like the TV shows. Definitely a bit campy in how it ends in a final showdown and a giant fireball taking about the base but...thats Star Wars.

I suspect the finale went over better with casual fans (like myself) than with hardcore fans but I could be wrong.
