The Rangers go 93-69 and lose in the WC round 2-0 to the Red Sox. The Angels also are in as a WC.

I do think the front office should have went after another couple of relievers in the oofseason. However, ther are some interesting guys who should become available to us at some point this season. Here are some of them

There is also some of our starters who could be brought up late in the year -- guys like Kelly, Otto, Dunning, Kent, White, Winn, and Bradford.

Well, if the Rangers, Red Sox and Angels are to do as well as they say they are, then they are going to be beating the Mariners. Lol

Kelly intrigues me. Church looked good the other day. Lee should eventually be a good addition. Others too.
We have to grow our own to make significant noise

It might make for a good lesson in how some young pitchers are ready for the big leagues a lot sooner than most might think. I understand about not rushing guys, but not every minor leaguer needs 100 plus innings at both AA and AAA to prove they are ready. Some may be ready after only a taste of AA -- some, as in a few.

Speaking of Spencer Howard, Hans Crouse, who will most likely start out in AAA, finally made an appearance for the Phillies big league club a week ago. He threw 12 pitches in a scoreless outing. He spent almost all of last year on the DL.

Is he on the roster? Always liked his Moxy. Kind of opposite of Howard lol. But on paper Howard is more toolsy.
