Manny Machado reportedly signs 11-year, $350 million contract extension with Padres

Machado has a slash line of .280/.352/.504 since he joined the Padres in 2019.

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Padres and Manny Machado have agreed to terms on an eleven-year, $350 million extension.​

Machado had announced that he was going to opt out of his 10-year contract this winter and explore free agency. The news must have lit a fire under the Padres' front office and they are poised to keep their franchise player. The 30-year-old has never hit below .256 during his time in San Diego and is coming off a year where he slashed .298/.366/.531 with 32 homers and 102 RBI.
