Considering all the fights that took place last night I'm surprised the Sabres aren't putting any players on IR today.

Especially Kaleta, he sure took a beating last night.

Yeah, that horn got some quality work in last night.

I thought it was cool that after every Sabres goal, they play back the call from Rick on the jumbo-tron. I couldn't see it, but I could hear it :D

I'm sure most non-Sabres fans love to hear Rick's voice as well after every goal that's scored.

Hey IPW you were right. Did you read some of the readers comments after a couple of articles in the Buffalo News? Some fans are saying....HMMM "Ruff is not behind the bench and the Sabres have a good game coincidence"? We knew that was going to happen.

There are a few more as well. :L

Yeah, probably the same people who said that Enroth should be the starter over Miller.

Hell, if they play like that every night with Lindy in the pressbox rather than behind the bench, I'd be all in favor of keeping him up there for as long as they stay hot.

He cross-checked Kaleta in the back of the head towards the end of the game.

That'll do it.

It wasn't really a cross check in the context of the game either, it was after Kaleta had been knocked down and Lucic sorta skates by and whacks him.

Best view starts at about 1:35:

Lindy always says he doesn't like to change the line up if their winning so maybe you're right.

Players and coaches tend to be pretty damned superstitious too, so you never know. His ribs could be fine and Lindy might voluntarily sit up in the press box in future games.

That explains some of the comments I read in the paper where they were saying things like the NHL is so worried about head shots what about a guy that is down and get's hit in the head by a stick (intentionally) after the play. I doubt anything will happen about this. I didn't see it during the game because I probably turned away.

Doesn't matter, Lucic will just tell Shanny he didn't mean it and Shanny will say..."OK no problem". Sound familiar? :L

I don't see it as a suspension-worthy kind of thing.

More of just a pest move than a malicious attempt to hurt him.

Lucic got a 2 and 10 out of it and that was enough for me.

To be completely honest, I don't mind it one bit. Even if he's calling a game against the Penguins. When Paul Steiggerwald is doing your broadcasts, you come to appreciate other teams' pbp announcers.

Plus, the Pens have a pretty eccentric voice in Mike Lange, but Steiggy's brother had him fired a couple of years ago from the TV network. Now, he is relegated to radio only. I could see the Pens doing something similar with his calls after Pittsburgh scores, and that was really what intrigued me about how Buffalo uses Rick's calls.

Nevermind then, I felt like you were saying Hartnell and Lucic are similar.

Statistically speaking, at least from this season... they're not all that different. Both play the same position, both are big hitters and a physical presence for their respective teams'. Looch has 40 pts on the season, Scotty has 46. Both have over 100 hits on the season, too. They also have at least 75 penalty minutes.

True, but this all came from me calling Lucic an asshole because he was being a dirty fuck like he usually is. Sure Hartnell is kinda physical, he does not do it like Lucic.
