And that is why Rivera needs to go. Everyone e has pointed that out. Rivera is a terrible talent evaluator.
Ron has been hit and miss.

Got Dotson, and Robinson in here.

The Samuel signing has worked out.

I think it was Scott who stood on the table for AG.

Jamin is coming along.

BSJ was a nice usage of the Trent comp pick.

It's hard to say who gets credit for what. Curl was a steal. Kyle Smith has a lot to do with this roster as well.

Ron missed on Trai and Norwell. Overpaid for Wentz, but that story still has a chapter or two in it. Missed on WJ3.

I'm still pissed they didn't retain Kyle, but what's done is done. Ron hit on some things and has definitely missed as well. Like most GMs

Yet, the most important position in all of sports he has not been able to find an answer. He will go in to year 4 without a long term answer. That is unacceptable.
From a coaching perspective, he has had 4 straight losing seasons dating back to Carolina. I think we can admit that the coaching is not where it needs to be. Jdr has done well this year but turner has been a disaster and should be shown the door. Turner is going on 3 seasons with a bottom 3rd offense in the league. The numbers dont lie. There is no reason to retain him from a GM perspective or coach perspective. We very well can have a coach in 2023 who has had 5 straight losing seasons. That doesn't make sense.
The drafting has been more misses than hits and free agency has been subpar as well. Hopefully the new owner puts us out of our misery.
We overpaid for Wentz period and got fleeced. That is a fact. We bid against ourselves and I am confused why anyone thinks there is more to the wentz story. This has been beaten to death. The trade was a bust the moment it happened. Again, if wentz was viewed as a viable starter in the league why is he on his 3rd team in 3 years? Why did Rivera say quarterback when asked about the division success. Why were the commanders the only team that called indy?

Right or wrong he tried to get Stafford and Wilson. The culture was just too bad and those guys didn't want to come here.

With the looming ownership change, a top 5 defense, and the three receivers we have, many articles have been written recently that we are now an attractive QB destination. Time will tell.

Kinda hard to even talk intelligently about this topic right not with so much still up in the air. New owner, playoffs in the balance, how Wentz performs Sunday, etc......

I know your mind is made up, and you can definitely do better than Ron (Payton, Fangio) but Carr has ties to JDR and what if Bezos has told Payton he's getting the team, so start putting together your staff now.

Too much unknown still out there. I'm currently focused on the game Sunday.

The season was all about getting a new owner for me. I am with breed in that making the playoffs literally does nothing for the long term future of the organization.
The moment Rivera didn't make the necessary staff changes, overpaid for a broken wentz, headed up an absurd name change, demolished the oline, and failed to address the lb unit, i focused on the new owner movement. This season has been a disappointment to say the least but we saw that coming except Dean who claimed we would win 11 wins.
With any luck, Snyder sells to bezos and we all sleep better at night. I will.

I agree with some of that, but at this juncture, what does missing the playoffs accomplish?

Easy

Gets us a better draft pick position and will hopefully aid the new ownership in getting rid of Rivera. This team will not contend with Rivera making front-office decisions.

Is he the only Redskin front office to not solve the QB position?

Shanahan had to give up half a team for a failed QB but went rogue and took Cousins later. I remember how many here who were saying "WTH?"

I heard an analyst on SC while talking about Carr "it is a lot easier to get worse at QB than better."

At this point making and not making the playoffs is probably two or three spots in the draft. It's not the NBA where you have the lottery.

I also think any new owner will not base his decision to keep Ron on whether he makes the playoffs this year. Any new owner has probably already decided in his head whether he wants to bring in his own guys or not. A lot will depend on the timing as well.

We are at home , win out and we are in , what more do we need for wince , being spotted 21 pts both games ?

and if falco can be the scapegoat for losses and the bus driver for wins , then I can damn sure say it’s laid out for him . Now it’s the team but the standard applies all the time for everybody
Well I don't exactly agree with you however, it is ironic that Wentz gets placed right back into last years scenario with the Colts. Win the last 2 games and you are in. That did not take place as we all know in Indy last year.

Well that is my point...2 or 3 spots could be huge and be the difference between getting the player you want or falling back to plan B. When it comes to drafting a QB especially...2 or 3 spots can make all the difference in that 1st round.

We can only hope the new ownership has a plan in place to built a credible and competent front office.

Wow is right. I gotta wonder what Chase did to receive that grade. Especially perplexing when you consider that Kayvon Thibodeaux received a grade of 89.7 for his game against the Skins 2 Sunday nights ago and Nick Bosa a 92.2 grade for his game against the Skins last week. I have no problem recalling multiple plays they made it those games. I know Chase blocked a pass and made a nice tackle holding Cmac to a 1 yard gain which is cool. Neither of those plays reached anywhere near the magnitud of plays made by KV n Bosa.

I'm calling shenanigans.

I think the thought of drafting a QB and trusting him with this roster has sailed. Just a gut feeling.
