If you say..
Bogarts ..I say..ok . but I just had Frazier and I need to ivmprove..and Crawford is my SS..

If you say binantendi...I say great..cuz last year
The defence in LF was a bit suspect..
And he is a gold glove..
And hits 300..really he can do everything .so ..it's an upgrade...

If you say im going to trade for Torres..it's an up grade..from ..Frazier.

2 upgrades..ok then..

If I say..I want..conforto ...,

it's an upgrade...,..From Santana....

Ok 3,upgrades..

I will ask you the same question- How do we know he was hurt? People assume when he slumps he is hurt, but how does a hurt player take crazy amounts of BP at full speed? That doesn't equate.
My logic behind thinking he was hurt was because it seems as if he has struggled a ton after missing a couple of games due to injury.

With limitations in place on defensive shifts next year, it's time to move away from the all-or-nothing hitter types. The 'three true outcome' guys. We need professional hitters now, guys who can hit to all fields and are willing to shorten their swing when they are behind in the pitching count. What we really need are nine Ty Frances.

I wish they would bring in Michael Brantley. He's probably too old to start more than 100 games, but he could show these younger guys what it means to be a professional hitter, especially our lost-at-the-plate outfielders like Trammel, Kelenic, and Lewis. Brantley would be like a hitting coach on the active roster.
Apparently they have expressed formal interest in Brandon Nimmo.

Not sure if that fits your bill but I do like the fact that he has a career OPS of .827 and it's not like that's boosted by hitting a bunch of homers.

Ryan Divish seems to have the most inside information on the Mariners and this article didn't exactly make me very optimistic we'll be making any big swings at Turner, Correa, Bogaerts or Swanson.

"So why do the Mariners remain so firm in keeping Crawford at shortstop, limiting their options. MLB insiders and those close to the game had plenty of theories as to why with one being quite obvious.

“Realistically, Jerry can say that because he knows they probably can’t sign any of those four shortstops unless they really overpay,” said a MLB agent, who didn’t represent any of the four shortstops. “Even then, that might not be enough. It kind of lowers the bar for him.”

Indeed, even if Dipoto came out and said they were willing to move Crawford to second base for one of those four shortstops, it doesn’t significantly improve their chances of signing one. The length and total salary represents the driving force."

Not sure he is a cancer, he is a young kid that has done dumb stuff. It’s a little early to say that IMO.

I don't think he is a cancer either ... but I do not want to see him in a Mariners uniform

No doubt he is a great talent --- BUT, I just think more drama will follow and if he pops another piss test it is a LIFETIME ban.

No need to take on that kind of risk in a very crucial stage of our final build of a yearly competitive team for the foreseeable future.

"Regardless of what we do, the bulk of what our 2023 team will look like is already here," - Jerry Dipoto.

On the one hand I have to give Dipoto some credit for building what we have, but on the other hand this is a stupid approach.

Here are some stats Dipoto should take into consideration:

The Mariners finished 27th in batting average, 27th in hits, 18th in runs scored. Their highest rated significant offensive statistic is OBP and even that was below league average.

If this is the approach of the front office this offseason, we might be going into next year with a worse roster than we had in 2022 barring significant leaps from young players.

I am not too worried about jerry clutching his purse all winter and not making a few improvements to the ball club via position players with greater upside than what we lost ( Haniger, Frazier etc )

he has proven to be very creative in the past and I think he pulls off a deal or 2 that fits and improves the club. He is aware as anyone what a crucial stage things are and pumping the breaks too early is a rookie mistake for a GM / front office.

San Diego was 15th in batting .
Which is my line .I like the mariners to be in the top 10..

With 7th in pitching..will get ya to the playoffs again ..where they go from there..only they know...

All meaning they need 200 more hits...

Good but sad..Santana..he hit around 200..Ave
Conforto..would be an upgrade..

Winker..seems he was hurt I'll go with that..
He still had 100 hits...

The upgrade would be..toescar.Hernandez..but ..not hurt..
Winker could get 40 more hits..but will ..fans let him do it..
I'm not good with...he did not say anything about it...everything else..I am..

I knew they would have a hard time with Houston and they did....
But..amazingly...they almost pulled it off...

That was a no...shit...for me,..and now..I know
They can beat them...if they just complete there lineup...

But the facts are he had a small string of goods games and no injury mentioned. Then he struggled and injury is the reason. Then he takes hundreds of BP balls a night which isn't a cure for a wrist injury. I think people see him when he is good then automatically say he must be hurt when he struggles. Maybe it is so but everything surrounding it says no so that makes me believe fatigue. Legs? Mental? Not sure but done buying the he must be injured excuse.

Well if you piss off your teammates like he has with his lies and suspension and gets in fights with them, then I guess I am calling it the wrong thing. Then you make the playoffs for the first time in a full season in forever and do it w/o your $300M stud, well...
