Beasley had notably lost a step or two last year. He refused to rework his contract, so he was out. Nobody else signed him up to this point, so he's either perceived to be washed, he wanted too much money/role, or both. Worth a shot given the Bucs injury issues, but I wouldn't expect too much.

No. He is an older DE whose best years are behind him. Good depth move for a 4th.

Yeah, he sounds like he is not what he once was, but Philly was looking for DE depth after Derek Barnett got injured. This adds a veteran to the DE rotation to help Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham and Haason Reddick

He is much more effective opposite a pass rusher that draws double teams. Mack leaving tilted the blocking focus to him. Should fit well with Philly.

The Ravens are giving up 2nd and 5th round picks in 2023 for him. It's a slightly high but fair trade price. The Bears aren't paying any of the remaining contract, (as the Broncos did with Miller in the Rams trade), so that isn't increasing the trade price. The onus is on the Ravens to re-sign him or not spend in 2023 free agency in order to recoup a 2024 compensatory pick.
