No, we don’t need some tech gazillionaire who will think of the team as a toy. We need someone who has strong connections to Washington so the team won’t end up in Albuquerque or San Diego.
Snyder was born n raised in Maryland growing up a Redskin fan and is old enough to clearly recall the glory years of the 80s n beginning of the 90s. Thast did nothing to prevent him from turning the Skins into a shit-show.

I sort of remembered in the back of my head that Dan was leveraged to the hilt to buy the Redskins. $800 million to buy the team and stadium. Over half was borrowed. Of course the net worth of the team has gone up a shit ton since he bought the team.

He brought in three minority owners to buy down some of the debt he owned after a year or two. We all know the NFL let him go over the $200 million dollar debt level to become sole owner again.

I don't have the financials but I believe Dan is still leveraged to the hilt. Maybe he is just cheap but I wonder if that is why Redskin Park and the stadium have been run into the ground. I have a feeling his debt level is high.

Anyhow I hope he is gone within the next year. We can only hope but sticking with my Yogi statement "it ain't over until it is over."

While I am at it although I keep hearing what a good guy and businessman Jason Wright is. How does Daryl Grant not know what is planned for the 90th greatest Redskins? Seeing as how they screwed everything else up it is hard to believe he is doing a good job or allowed to do a good job.

Had to laugh about Cooley. He and Dan were buddy's. So was Lavar, Trent and Griffin. All of those relationships have gone sour. Snyder could fuck up steel balls.

Okay, I am off to the beach.

Sheehan had someone on his show this morning who basically said its going to take the owners convincing Dan to sell. Said he believed Dan would sell for 8 or 9 billion.

If Dan can't get a stadium and no one is coming to the game I could see Dan saying fk it. Give me 10 billion and you can have this shit.

I still believe Dan Snyder is selling the entire team. And we have the people who continued to keep this in the news and the pressure on to thank for this. It was public pressure that made this happen, plain and simple.

This starts of course with the victims, they bravely told their story and refused to let off on the pressure. The woman who refused the $1 million + offer to keep quiet is a damn Washington sports hero who should have her name in the Ring of Fame.

Next we have Congress to thank. Specifically the Democrats. As the Republicans used their time discussing fentanyl and continued to claim this was all a waste of time the Dems kept asking the hard questions and the pressure on. I firmly believe Goddell being forced to testify (he had no choice really) as Snyder hid out on his boat like a coward was a turning point.

So what changed his mind? Just weeks before they were dug in and saying they will never sell. I don't believe Tanya being boo'd was the tipping point. They already had 4 potential buyers, that doesn't happen that quickly. No I believe someone (the commish and/or other owners) had a talk with him. They revealed what was found in the Wilkerson Report and explained he can let this go public and you can be remembered as he first owner in league history to be thrown out or you can sell. Those are your choices.

It's the only theory I can see.

congress has no business wasting tax payer money on this . the AG's from DC MD and VA is the proper venue for this but if snyder does sell then hooray for that , because to me fentanyl is a way bigger issue

Of course fentanyl is more important. But it had nothing to do with what they were there for. Bringing that up constantly was an unnecessary distraction. The job of Congress is to represent the wishes of the people who vote for them. And that's exactly what they did. If you don't think the Democrats in Congress had a lot to do with Snyder's decision I will respectfully disagree.

As I said Goodell, and I'm sure the other owners, were pissed that he had to testify. And equally pissed that Snyder hid like a coward. Local AGs were not going to make Goodell testify, their moves would not have made the national headlines which kept the pressure on. That came from what Congress did.
