Of course fentanyl is more important. But it had nothing to do with what they were there for. Bringing that up constantly was an unnecessary distraction. The job of Congress is to represent the wishes of the people who vote for them. And that's exactly what they did. If you don't think the Democrats in Congress had a lot to do with Snyder's decision I will respectfully disagree.

As I said Goodell, and I'm sure the other owners, were pissed that he had to testify. And equally pissed that Snyder hid like a coward. Local AGs were not going to make Goodell testify, their moves would not have made the national headlines which kept the pressure on. That came from what Congress did.
Didn’t say they didn’t , I said it wasn’t the place for it

Remember back in 2008 when the US Savings and Loan debacle was about to throw the whole world into a deep recession? What was Congress doing? They were investigating Major League Baseball!

Now, they’ve got a huge inflation problem to deal with, so it’s NFL Football?

These people are all dirtbags and I’m not surprised the economy is a mess again.

So Congress is only supposed to focus on the biggest problem in this country at the time, be it the S&L Crisis or inflation today? They are to conduct no other business other than to focus on inflation? LOL, yeah that's not how Washington works.

What exactly do you expect those representatives involved in this investigation to do about inflation? That's for others to figure out, Carol Maloney did not miss a meeting with The Federal Reserve Board to discuss the interest rate and other means to reduce inflation to interview Rodger Goodell. No their job is to represent the people who voted for them. And that's exactly what they did.

Seeing as they had a big part in Snyder selling it's amusing that you all are critical of them for doing what their constituents, and most everyone else around here, wanted them to do.

Don't be surprised if Dan costs us Payne. Not sure I see him cutting a big check on a signing bonus for DaRon on his way out the door. That is if he is really selling the team.

Yes but it comes from the commanders not Snyder
So if Snyder still owns the Skins when it comes time to sign Payne, but he knows he's leaving, how is separate?

The team generates revenue and that is used to cover salaries , not from an owner personally

Dan owns the team ... team costs go against his profit margin. If and when he sells the team the new owner assumes all debts and profits after the sale.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
Report: Oversight Committee could release Dan Snyder findings Thursday

The U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Reform could be releasing findings from its investigation into the Washington Commanders and Dan Snyder as early as Thursday afternoon, a new report says.

According to Eric Flack of WUSA9, the Oversight Committee may release details of its ongoing investigation into the Commanders' alleged hostile workplace environment. Per Flack, those findings could potentially involve allegations of sexual assault against team owner Dan Snyder.

As news on the investigation has gone silent in recent weeks, this is certainly something to keep an eye on throughout the day.

This latest update comes roughly one month after Dan and Tanya Snyder made the shocking announcement that they'd hired Bank of America Securities to "consider potential transactions, which Forbes reported could be an exploration for selling "the entire NFL team or a minority stake."

Fox NFL Insider Jay Glazer went on to report that Snyder intends to sell the franchise within a timeframe of the next four to six months.

Only days later, D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine announced the District's intent to file a lawsuit against Dan Snyder, the Washington Commanders, the NFL and its commissioner, Roger Goodell.

106.7 The Fan will have more information on this developing story as it becomes available.
