I must admit I fell for the hype and thought Denver was about to explode on offense. My gut feel is RW and the Broncos turn it around tho, I just can’t believe he is shot for good..

No matter how bad he might be going forward, they can't even cut him with all that guaranteed money.

Well, they can cut him if that last roster spot is a better contributor than he is. They just won't have that money.

Paton and Hackett are kind of forced to make the best of it, because Wilson is their bet. But if Hackett can't get more out of Wilson neither of them will be around long, and whoever comes after can make the hard call if necessary.

That money underperforming on the field, that money on the bench, that money off the field entirely... the most damaging of those would probably be underperforming on the field if you have a better option in the coming years.

The biggest problem is that even if the Broncos end up 4-13 and Russell is a bottom-ten QB, it would take a lot of selfless courage for Paton to take a first-round QB in the draft.

All the accelerated guarantees would blow a massive hole in their roster for the next two years.

It'll be painful and long-lasting no matter what they do, unless somehow Wilson turns things around.

yeah, but they don't have the picks to rebuild for a bit

It's possible that after so many years with one coach in one system, and no pre-season games, he's slow to adjust. You'd think five games would be enough.

And of course I was stupid to suggest the Broncos could take a QB in the first. Seattle has their first. And if they end up with a better record than the Broncos, they'll almost certainly use the Bronco pick on a QB.

The kid is a rattled shell of his former self. I'm thinking once he gets acclimated to the altitude, he will heat up.

I think we're being a little harsh on Russ. It's not like his qb skills are as bad as his subway commercial skills.

Looks as if all of Colorado will come to hate Wilson when it's all said and done

Seattle's locker room fucking hates Russell Wilson. The fact he came back in week 1, was boo'd coming out, and then no trainers/staff or players met him after the game, Pete barely looked him in the eye, Shelby saying, "That's what happens when you trade your defensive lineman" ........ that shit doesn't happen.

And now see Melvin Gordon and even Hamler who has done fuck all in the NFL?

If I was the GM of the Broncos, I'd be getting extremely nervous. Hackett is going to get fired, that's obvious. What a disaster of a trade. Would love to be a fly on the wall in Schneider/Carroll's house if they were watching this game. Sherman saying, "YOU RUN IT!" I think was not a knock at Carroll, it was a knock at Wilson because Sherman doesn't think he can make the play. I have to wonder in the second SuperBowl if Wilson actually suggested to Carroll to pass.... And even if it was Carroll's call, I think how Wilson went about himself with the team and locker room after, was what pissed off everyone on that team.

Bold prediction considering he can’t play worse than he is now lol
