Yes, I dislike Draymond because of the numerous incidents of bad behavior, but emotions have nothing to do with the opinion that the Warriors are better off without him moving forward. If the Warriors were to move on from him, many would disagree, but it would be a reasonable business decision by the organization. Opposing view points can both be reasonable.

What makes it an emotional statement is the "the Warriors are better off without him" part. The Warriors have 4 rings that they likely do not have without him. So, from a winning titles perspective, you can't draw a logical conclusion that they are better off without him.

If by "better off without him" you mean that the team and its fans wouldn't have to deal with the fact that at least once or twice a season, he does or says something that embarrasses the organization and its fans, you can make a logical case for that.

But then you are also giving up 4 titles. I'd be willing to bet that you are part of an extremely small group of Warriors fans...like almost a group of one level small, that would be good with that.

In an odd way, Draymond showed his worth to the team in the 2016 finals when he got himself suspended and the Warriors lost. Most point to that as part of the reason.

You're making a straw man argument here. I've very clearly stated that the Warriors are better off without him moving forward.

We don't know that they are better off without him going forward as they just won their 4th title last year and he was a big part of the reason. You can claim my argument is a straw man, but yours is based purely on speculation with no facts to back it up.

Bottom line is the last 8 years have made me give complete loyalty to the FO. If they want him gone, I support that. If they want to keep him I support that. And my opinion of his value to the team is obviously higher than yours. Can't complain about anything with this team right now, although I do get that it's what we do, argue and speculate.

I do think people are making way too much of this incident. As has been pointed out, players get into it in practice all the time.

I trust them, too. It's just that they can't make any decision right now except to decline to give him the 4 year, $130 million (or whatever number it is) extension that he is asking for.

I had never heard of Draymond punching a teammate before, so hopefully this is a one time thing. And when someone throws a punch, there is a wide range of outcomes with regard to the damage caused. There could be bad outcomes, especially when one guy is a lot bigger than the other guy. Fortunately, Poole is reportedly no worse for wear after this incident.

Your post above was a straw man argument, and that's just a fact.

I know you are a Draymond hater, and he is obviously very wrong here.

But don’t be too quick to overlook Poole’s role in this.

He is a young player looking to get his bag. If he is not embracing his role in the team concept, it could be very problematic for the Warriors in their bid to repeat.

I wonder who the source was of that false report. :noidea:

Ok, sounds like you are probably right on that.

Yet still, I don’t see Kerr or anyone else saying they are done with Draymond.

Of course, they wouldn’t say that even if they were, because they are smarter than that, but still.

That fucking Wembenyama did it again.

34, 11 and 4.

Please, someone make him take the rest of the year off.

They just gotta deal with the situation the best that they can, as the Warriors are very likely stuck with Draymond for this season and next season. Hopefully, he can change how he deals with people. This makes it even worse, IMO. Not only is he physically attacking a teammate, but he is also using the media to go after his teammate.

Actually watching Victor W....if he stays healthy he's a lock for top 25 all time player. And I don't think that's an overreaction.

He is going to be a bigger deal than Lebron was coming into the league.

They might be, and they may not be. But they got him for 2 more years, nothing changing that. No chance he opts out.

I believe there is a 0.00000000000001% that Draymond doesn't opt in for the 2023-2024 season.

You tried presenting your opinion as a fact.

The fact is that your opinion has no evidence or facts to base it on. In fact, the current facts work against your opinion.

Btw, that also makes my statement not a strawman.

Kerr and Steph came to Poole defense. Confirms Draymond was being the piece of shit he typically is
And this punk wants big money while he is declining dramatically. More motivation to let him walk
