Have you seen the videos of Harden working out this summer? Looks to be in really good shape.
I sure hope he is, he shouldn’t continue to be a little bitch. Maybe that is why they signed Harrell.

I like this Trezl pickup.

The only issue you have to worry about with a Doc/Trezl reunion is Doc's propensity to stay with Trez to long.

That's not a issue with Embiid on the roster.

You guys had a nice summer.
I think he’s a horrible fit. And he’s going to take away minutes from two players I think have more promise and more upside. He can’t space the floor. He can’t defend anybody. He gives you some offensive rebounding and a bit of snarl. I’m paying PJ Tucker 3 years and 30 million for that snarl. And BBall Paul projects to be the same kind of terror on the offensive glass but a guy who can defend in a league that switches everything. Hate the player and I hate him for this role.

Hope I’m wrong cause there’s fuck all I can do about it now ha.

Look, he's never going to be a great defender.

But, he's a energy guy, off the bench scorer who had his best days under Doc Rivers.

Plus, you got him on a 2 year vet minimum deal.

He's not going to jail for his drug charge.

He fired Klutch.

This is his 4th team since leaving the Clippers.

I think you are going to get a humbled, motivated player.
Fair enough. But the comment you replied to was me coming back at thunder for his comments on Harden.

No.

But, I saw the one with Travis Scott and Da Baby.

I will believe he's not sloth Harden when I see it.

Here's the thing: Sloth Harden is still better than 80 % of the League.

So, even if last years version shows up, he left them enough money to shore up some holes and to mitigate his shortcomings.
Quite honestly, there aren’t enough shots for 2018 Harden even if he were that same guy. I want an efficient 20 and 10 from him. If he gets Embiid/Maxey good looks and he can get something out of Tobias Harris, I’m elated. Not sure if dude took off the fat suit or not but looking at recent photos and videos, he’s really trimmed down. Baby Fat James has left the building.

Then it’s a really dumb move. Why would a future Hall of Famer pay any mind to a dime a dozen role player like Harrell who has never won anything?

I could put up 20 points in a NBA game if Harrell was guarding me.

That said: you could do worse for an end-of-bench body that can suck up some regular season minutes. Contract makes this very low risk.

Because Harrell might not care enough to kick the living shit out of him. That is long overdue.

At worst, he's insurance.

Cheap insurance at that.

My thing is that he slows the development of other guys they have that could play that role. If they did this same thing with a Whiteside, I’m on board for the Vet. I don’t think what he brings is a fit. You’re right in that there isn’t much of a commitment here and we are talking about the back up to the best player. The Sixers season won’t hinge on Harrell. At the same time, Sixers fans have been through the ringer with Embiid back ups in the playoffs. That Jimmy Butler team that lost to Kawhi championship Raptors saw Embiid +90 for the series. Yep. Plus 90! And they lost the series in 7 games.

Good points... and I could certainly agree that you don't want Harrell playing meaningful minutes in the playoffs.

The C's have a similar soft spot when it comes to back-up big minutes.

For what? If Embiid is out, there’s no way Harrell is the starter. They go main minutes with Bassey because he’s rim protection and they lean on Harden/Maxey/Harris to score.

Shit, I’d rather Tucker play 5-6 minutes as a small ball big than to go to Harrell.

I think it's a great thing that you don't need to depend on MVP season version of Harden.

Do people enjoy watching that brand of basketball?

I hated watching him flail, flop his way to 30 points every game.

He's too good to have to resort to that shit.

If that's what he has to do to be a #1, I'm elated that he doesn't hold that spot for the 76ers.

A team with Harden as your #2 or #3 option should be capable of winning it all.
