so you think men control their anger better than women?

After living with my mom and dad, with my sisters, and now my wife and daugther... no, it's impossible to make that generalization.

Some are better, some aren't but it's a stupid generalization.

And the scene was preachy, not just a "joke". It was a serious comment from she-hulk. I haven't watched the rest of the series, I'm waiting until all of it is available... but that scene alone is poorly written.

also the irony of male posters getting upset over a joke about women not as easily angered as men is pretty great here.

whatever dude... I'm guessing this is perfectly written and will return the MCU to the top of the world, while winning all of the Emmys.

Right. If it was a forced line then maybe. But context is everything. Bruce was assuming that she would have similar problems with the hulk that he did. She didn’t. Hey it is even possible that it was the Y chromosome that made Bruce and hulk not get along for so long.

it was forced.

It didn't need to remotely be played out like that.

I did not think it was forced at all... but i am also not sensitive to these things... I am also not sure what you were expecting in a show about SheHulk...

The best line in the show so far was when Jen said that she hated the name “SheHulk” because it made her nothing but a derivative of Hulk.

Exactly. That’s all the character is. Make an original character rather than biting off preexisting characters. Captain Marvel is horribly written, but at least she is her own character. Re-Re and SheHulk are simple hijacks of existing successful characters to grab an audience and preach a message.

while it might be true, there are plenty of kind of "Rule 63" type female heroes out there.

Batgirl, Supergirl, SpiderGwen, etc...

and most of them were likely made because the comic book artist was a perv and wanted to draw a female version with big tits.

yes and no... almost every superhero in both marvel and DC have either villains or sidekicks with similar powers... and most dont have creative individual names...

She Hulk was introduced in the HULK comics, became popular and then got her own comics...

So you are saying there is a LEGIT reason for them to exist…

depends on what you consider to be "legit"

there are plenty of female heroes out there who are their own thing and that's great. I think there is a generation of comics in which writers were lazy and said "we should just do a female version of that guy and see how that plays"

I can't believe a bunch of grown adult men are getting so butthurt about a female led superhero TV show made by Disney, which was not only created by a woman, but also was written by 6 women and 3 men. There's gonna be feminine energy in this show. Get over it! Don't like it, don't watch it. Change the damn streaming service. Jesus fucking Christ. Sounds like y'all are on your fucking periods.

Some fun Easter eggs in episode 2:

When Jennifer is looking for jobs, the side bar on the website has two headlines you can read:

"Man Fights With Metal Claws In Bar Brawl" (Wolverine reference)

"Why Is There A Giant Statue Of A Man Sticking Out Of The Pacific Ocean" (funny quip about Eternals)

I thought that scene was pretty terrible, but overall the show is good. I look forward to the rest of it.

Thanks. Everyone was too busy arguing over the suppossed "wokeness" no one really mentioned if it's worth the watch.

It is not the best show they have done, has some genuinely funny moments. CGI is as bad as people are saying, but cgi has never sold me on anything. 6/10 for the 1st episode I would say.

Some of Marvels stuff has been pretty bad since Disney took it over which makes me reluctant. The series done by Nexflix were a lot better IMO. I couldn't get through 2 episodes of Wandavision or Loki. Hawkeye was ok at best. Moon Night was decent. Kenobi (Not Marvel but still Disney) was incredibly disappointing, one of the laziest bits of writing I've ever seen. Especially after the Mandalorian and Bobo Fett which I thought were pretty good.

I think it comes down to them flooding the market with super hero stuff...

they aren't putting out crap but they are building this empire with all these shows...and they just aren't the same quality.

thing is, they are necessary for you to watch if you are interested in keeping up with the MCU
