My first knee jerk reaction was to decline, but I need help at TE and Burkman could...maybe...be useful for a season. Just to be rid of Sermon is a relief of sort because what a waste of a draft pick he was and Shenualt seems to be on the out with the new coaching staff. Sort of a yuk trade for me TBH since not of fan of the players I got back, but what the heck.

OK - Treff and I did one with a fair amount of moving pieces. I send P. Strong, my 2nd and Fuzzy's 4th for Fouts 2nd and my 3rd (back from the Wan'Dale trade earlier). .... he gets yet another young player he had on his wish-list. I get what I hope is an earlier 2nd and my 3rd back for next yr.

Kyle Granson and Jelani Woods haven't had good camp reports (don't think Woods even has a catch yet), so more of a war of attrition here

personally I don't think Ryan has a lot left in the tank, but might as well do some hedging for free cause I've been known to get them wrong on occasion

If I were the colts. Which I am not. I’m milk. But if I were the colts, I would go to Carolina and say we will give you a 4th rounder for Matt corral. See if they bite. If they do then you have a young back up with potential. And I can see Carolina doing it now that they got baker.

Why would Carolina deal a QB they drafted in the the third this year, for a 4th next year, without him ever taking a snap?

I know it seems odd. Didn’t say Carolina would accept it, especially since they gave up a third to get him. But by them getting baker I think it complicated the corral experiment. Just think a team like the colts should see. Can’t hurt.


Or maybe I read way too much into the baker move. The way I see it, if he is good then it is his job for the future. If he is bad they will go back to darnold until late this season. But if they are a top draft pick which will happen if their qbs suck then they may skip the corral experiment all together and go directly to a first round qb. I just feel like baker clogs it up too much.

And if they don’t showcase corral at all a 4th is better than anything they will get for him.

Personally, I've had him before and find he is just about what you'd expect. TD dependent just like 15 other TE's in the league. ... perhaps a decent game here and there but never when ya need it. ...
