I think that the B12 will do that to be defensive, unlike the B1G and SEC, which we’re doing it in a position of power.
The only thing I can see the AAC doing is trying to kill off what’s left of C-USA. Them or the MAC will probably try to poach Western Kentucky and MTSU, not that those moves move the needle on anything in the grand scheme of things.
I don't come over to ******** and post much. Not much Maryland activity here. This whole realignment deal has sure blown up the internet though. :)
So I see your Western Kentucky flag or whatever they come them and your UVA Guy screen name. Did you go to both?

For those of you that think it's about Brand.
When Maryland and Rutgers joined the BIG Ten in 2014, you basically have the opposite of a national football brand.
When the BIG Ten released market revenue numbers coming into the BIG Ten for each school, Maryland and Rutgers were 2 of the top 3.

UCLA and USC certainly bring both, but not required.

That's why a school like GT will remain on the radar if the ACC folds.
And not because GT brings the market, but the existing BIG Ten alumni in that market just like Rutgers and Maryland.
And the ACC product there with GT will move from ESPN to FOX.
And GT has very good R & D numbers, too.

What's hilarious is you truly think Minnesota's the most elite school in the conference.

Next you'll say Minnesota football > USC football & Minnesota basketball > UCLA.

Hell you already think Minnesota hockey's the best all time. Yet they don't even have the most national titles.
In Baseball, YES!!! You say right there that the Most Natl Titles equals the most elite, so either Minnesota IS the most elite Baseball program in the B1G or you are hypocritical liar?

And what UCLA bb did during the Wooden years, including paying players, won't determine whether UCLA will do better in the B1G in bb than Minnesota. The Pac has sucked SO BAD in college bb in the 21st century, these additions won't help the B1G's bb talent level. More than likely USC will hang out in the bottom 3rd of the conference and UCLA will hang out in the middle 3rd of the Conf standings with the occasional good year.

Same with USC football, what they did when they got caught cheating and had at least one title stripped, won't have anything to do with how well they perform vs Ohio St, Michigan, PSU, MSU, Wisc, Iowa and yes, Minnesota.

And YES, I think Minnesota hockey is the best all time because I don't just look at one single solitary stat.

#1 in NCAA tourney wins.
#1 in NCAA tourney appearances.
#1 in players sent to the NHL
#1 in scoring in the NHL last several years.
#1 in producing US Olympic Hockey players, and it's not even close!!!
#1 in producing US Olympic Hockey Gold Medals, and it's not even close!!!
#1 in producing US Hockey Hall of Fame players.

Lol - Minnesota is a nothing burger. We’ve been through this many times. Step aside Um, Rutgers, Nebraska and Indiana can battle. With the 6 schools coming into the conference Um will slip 6 more slots.
You think all 6 teams, no matter who they are, will automatically finish ahead of the Gophers? lol Biased and ignorant much?

Should I look up to see how well UCLA and USC have done in football lately? UW? Stanford? UNC? Who else is getting added? Cal? Colorado? You are hilarious

Sadly we both need his help. If UW and Oregon remain in the PAC-Whatever, we're both screwed.

Oregon when they leave UW in the PAC:

Not sure why in the hell Oregon would be #2, lol. That's about as dumb as they come. Another Nebraska situation is my prediction. Only thing I can fathom is that the Nike connection somehow could play a factor, otherwise what in the hell does Oregon bring that couldn't evaporate in 2-3 seasons just like happened with Nebraska? One bad coaching hire in either cfb or cbb and Oregon could SO easily disappear when they have to play the high quality teams in the B1G vs getting to beat up on lowly Pac shmucks. Maybe the B1G thinks with NIL now a factor, Uncle Phil will be willing to BUY some top notch recruits? Doesn't the word Slimey not fit that man perfectly?

Nah, I’ve always been a UVA fan. I lived in Bowling Green, KY for a few years and WKU just kinda grew on me

Well the last time Oregon played:
tOSU
Michigan
Wisconsin
Michigan State
Nebraska
Purdue
USC
UCLA

They won I can see why you are scared.

Your program didn’t even make this list, you are at the card table with folding chairs. You really don’t even warrant having an opinion.

Wins in cfb

last 2 non-covid years, last 3 years incl 2020, last 4, last 5, last 6.

UMn - 20 - 23 - 30 - 35 - 44
USC - 12 - 17 - 22 - 33 - 43
UWa - 12 - 15 - 25 - 35 - 47
UCal - 13 - 14 - 21 - 26 - 31
UCLA - 12 - 13 - 16 - 22 - 26
Color - 9 - 13 - 18 - 23 - 33
Stanf - 7 - 11 - 20 - 29 - 39

Last 3 years UMn has DOMINATED 6 of the 7 Pac teams either heading to the B1G or that are being mentioned as possibles to end up there.

23 wins for Minnesota vs only 17 for the next best USC and only 13 for UCLA? lol Easy wins for Minnesota seems to me?

Go back 6 years and UCLA is only 18 games back from Minnesota. Seems like the Trojans are looking to be the B1G's newest bitch.

44 > 26 lol

Even mighty USC has less wins in the last 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 years than Minnesota.

So not sure what you are talking about, and even your Ducks, who you were surely going to question why I left them out of this graft, yes they won more games than the Gophers, by a WHOLE TWO GAMES!!! 46 to 44 over the last 6 years. Hardly much of a difference. And Oreg wouldn't have one of those wins if covid didn't gift them a conf title game they didn't deserve in 2020. So 45 to 44 if you don't count that sham of a game.

There are 6 schools that have won a CFB Playoff game. You see a correlation?

Only thing I'm scared of is the B1G's academic reputation taking a hit bringing on such a retarded school.

P.S. You shouldn’t be allowed to post until you win a NY6 Bowl. Go argue with a Rutgers fan.
Your team should have a winning record vs the team of the person you are trying to rip on before you can rip on them.

3 > 1

Your team should have a single Natl Title before you get to talk shit?! Maybe?

All that ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

and yet your team still only has ONE more legit win than the Gophers in the last 6 seasons? lol

Seems selling your souls doesn't get you the return you were expecting?

Ariz, ASU, Col and Utah probably going to the Big 12, USC and UCLA already gone. Of those remaining,

UMn's got a 23-17-1 winning record vs Stanford, California, Oregon, Oregon St, Washington and Washington St.

You aren’t old enough to have watched Um when they were relevant. Now with the merger it’s sad you will never have witnessed your team win a Rose Bowl.

When it comes to Conference Expansion and the B1G, academics/research & development DO MATTER.

The schools partnered together in the B1G research and development collaboration are bringing in BILLIONS of dollars. That money DWARFS the money brought in by football. So you might think football is their top priority when it comes to expansion, but obviously you weren't watching as the B1G brought in Rutgers and Maryland?!
