Being real, I don’t think there was any way Tatum to the Sixers would happen. If Celtics didn’t KNOW the Sixers would draft Fultz they don’t trade back to 3. They just take Tatum 1. But…Colangelo could have been a dick and lied and tricked Danny Ainge and taken Tatum but that would mean that Colangelo actually knew talent and basketball. Tatum was my favorite prospect in that draft and that’s saying something because I almost universally hate drafting Duke guys. I thought Fultz would be pretty good but didn’t like him playing for a shitty Washington team.

The cost to acquire Harden will almost certainly force the Sixers to go deeper down the Harden rabbit hole.

Tell Harden to stop drinking and partying nonstop.
Lift some weights, run some track, eat better....etc. That might get him some lift and quickness back in his shooting form.

Buts its also possible Harden's legs are already shot, and no amount of lifestyle correction will bring them back.

You are correct.

There are plenty of nice guys in the top 75.

But, for whatever reason....

For every Tim Duncan / David Robinson, there are 20 assholes like MJ.

Dunno if it's narcissism or if the drive to be the best makes them cross the line between being a strong leader and being a basketball Nazi...

But, it seems to be a common trait amoung the elite.
