The good news is that the skins didnt give up a lot to get wentz, and he’s an upgrade over TH because he has an nfl caliber arm. His stats were pretty good last year, although he sucked down the stretch.
The bad news is that he probably is a prima donna, he had the best rb in the league last year to bail him out which probably inflated his stats a little bit (opponenets had to honor the run), we’ll be his third team in three years, and now we have to make roster moves to field a more competitive team.
It feels like a desperation move to me, especially since it was common knowledge that Wentz was as good as gone in indy, and those deals almost never work out for the redskins, especially.
On the other hand, Wilson and Rodgers were never coming here, Watson is an unknown and would cost a bloody fortune, Trubisky is going to NY, and Bridgewater/Winston/Jimmy G are not really any better than TH.
Finally, I sure as hell am not rushing to FedEx Field to watch Carson Fucking Wentz lead my team. Didnt we already learn our lesson about signing ex Eagles Qb’s? Gonna have to play like your hair is on fire, Commander Carson to overcome the legend of TH in the minds of some fans….
