I respect that Disney is trying to maintain the story, history and plots in Star Wars, but as a novice, i dont understand why they just dont create new stories?

I mean, since 1977, Kylo is the only offspring of the main characters? C'mon.

Plus I think some diehards would like to see Jar Jar killed off.

Princess Leia is a general at war, I think Han Solo had some kind of role in the rebellion after ROTJ also. We were lucky they took time off to give us Kylo.

Luke is abstinent, no kids there. Makes sense, the first and only girl he kissed turned out to be his twin sister...woof
Chewy is like the last remaining of his kind, no kids there
R2 and C3PO are droids, no kids there
Lando Calrissian...there's someone that maybe had some kids that we don't know about? not sure, but he was a hustler, so he might've been on top of his condom game
Boba Fett is a clone, not sure if he can have kids but I doubt the bounty hunter lifestyle lends itself to much time for child rearing
Yoda is like hundreds of years old, prob can't have kids anymore at his age

There really wasn't a legit possibility for offspring to dominate the story lines, so bringing in the new characters was a must, after the 2nd trilogy gave us the Anakin/Padme story of how Luke/Leia came to be.

Jimmy Smitts never had kids? No one from the rebellion? If Luke had an aunt and uncle, did he have cousins? Hard to imagine no one is procreating - i mean, who are they rebelling for if not the future of their children?

In the books that continued the story, before Disney bought the franchise, Luke was married and had a kid, Ben. Han and Liea remained married, had twins, Jaina and Jacen (Jacen ended up becoming the new emperor and had to be taken out by his sister Jaina), and a third child named Anakin, there were other random quasi jedi out there, other Sith, Bobba Fett was one of the richest people in the galaxy and ruler of Madalore for a while, Chewie died not too long after ROTJ. There was a lot of material already out the Disney could've tweaked and used, but they trashed most of it and came up with Rey.

I know I'm getting old when this shit bothers me, but this is going too far (imo) on the "being inclusive" side of things.

I'd be embarrassed as his parent if my son was breaking women's sports records.

The Titans have confirmed the report, and claimed that renovating Nissan Stadium would cost well north of $1 billion. That is impossible to believe for a 23-year-old building

anyone who claims that number to be impossible, is clueless as to the costs associated with the construction industry today. Renovating a massive stadium like that could easily be $1. depends on how deep you wanna go, and just how impressive the renovation is to be. Could easily double that.
Took 5 billion to build the place in Vegas, and remodeling something is often more difficult than starting from scratch

I'd like to think my taxes aren't going to fuel this new stadium/renovation project cause Ms Adams has the dough, but I know better than that.
At least she's a quality owner, let's the football people handle the football stuff while she works the PR and business side, and truly does give a lot back to the community in the greater Nashville area.

Chicago updated Soldier Field in 2003. Back then it cost $660 million.
It was also projected to cost around $400 million. Oops.

Heck yeah, made me think, 'damn, I wish there had been a sequel!'
Now..they'd either have to reboot it, or have Keeanu be the new scab coach, with a whole new bunch of scabs...having him be a 40 something replacement QB, at 57 years old is, at best, a stretch

Actually, with today's movie magic, they could probably pick it up where they left off.
Through makeup and CGI, if they could make Mark Hammil (Mandolorean), Kirk Douglas (Antman), and Kurt Russell (Guardians) look younger, they can do it for Keanu.
And Hackman looks the same. lol
