I'm rooting for winning money

Second is the Bengals. I mean how can you not root for them unless you are a Rams fan or a Bengals rival. Although knowing it would make Boomer Esiason happy does give me a little bit of pause...

Rooting for the Bengals. A team built through the draft from the ground up, the underdog. A team still looking for a win in the Super Bowl. Exciting young players who seem grounded. Rams are a glitz team who are trying to buy a championship and are the favorites and playing at home.

How’s the draft been for the Seahawks? Lol. Im
Guessing this is a big reason why the Rams trade late 1st rounders for elite talent. Not to mention killing the draft in later rounds like Cooper Kupp in the 3rd. Oh yeah and you traded your late 1st rounder in 2021 as well. Too funny

In reference to the Bengals being built from the ground up, their team construction was way easier than what the Rams did. Rams' team construction is risky. Bengals just had to lose enough to get the top pick and a top WR.

It’s much easier to build from the draft with lotto picks than it is with late 1st rounders. Ask Seattle and New England how many all pros they’ve drafted lately. It’s being a dam good GM is what it is. Making moves and drafting very well in the later rounds. The Rams also have been developing players as well — UDFA and late picks. That’s not going to stop no matter how butthurt you St. Louis fans continue to be. Lol at you selling out as a former Rams fan and now a Chiefs fan. That’s pretty cute

The player development by the Rams has been sick. It ain’t going away

Cooper Kupp 3rd round
Greg Gaines 4th round
Tyler Higbie 4th round
David Edwards 5th round
Jordan Fuller 6th round
Sebastian Joseph Day 6th round
Nick Scott 7th round
Kendall Blanton UDFA
Darious Williams UDFA — lol dude beat Seattle in the playoffs pick 6

I tried to look at the recent first round picks for the Rams to see how they have done with the few they kept, but there aren't any. I knew they had traded them away, but didn't realize it was this many years in a row.

2017
No pick (traded to Tennessee to select Jared Goff)
[z]
2018
No pick (traded to New England for Brandin Cooks)
2019No pick (traded to Atlanta for more picks)
2020No pick (traded to Jacksonville for Jalen Ramsey)
2021
2022No pick (traded to Detroit for Matthew Stafford)
2023

As far as other rounds go I'll ignore 2021 because it's too soon and go back to Kupp's year since that was the one you mentioned, but is this "killing it"? Some good picks for sure, but not sure if it is better than the average team. Every team has some good picks or at least should right?

What’s your definition of killing it? Drafting 2 starters? 3? And doing it with no 1st rounders. Yeah 2 starters imo and no 1st rounders is doing very good. Throw in an all pro like Cooper.. lol and yeah last years draft we did great with even shitting the bed on our 2nd round pick. Rams cannot draft good in the 1st round or really 2nd too. It’s the late rounds they find gems and develop players

Nah. One by one, every team I would have liked to see in the Superbowl lost in the playoffs. The extra wild card teams just muddied the waters.

I actually haven't watched a game all season. When the kneeling and virtue signaling came in the front door with full support of the No Fun League, I just slipped out the back. I've actually kept track of scores and standings all year, but that's it.

Maybe we'll go to a nice restaurant that doesn't have TVs.

While you'll have more total - you just salty if the Bengals win a more recent title...I mean...the Bengals. Add to it that Mason Rudolph is your QB of the future, and we may need to ask you to step away from the ledge....

Take it easy @SJ76 this is about who your or we are rooting for in the SuperBowl and has nothing to do about any non SuperBowl team. No need to get defensive because the Bengals are killing it in the poll. Folks like to root for David when he's going against Goliath generally. Bengals are easy to like and the Rams are more Hollywood (OBJ cements that impression), they've zig zag between cities, built a glitz stadium:

SoFi.png

Heard USA Today call it NFLs billion dollar temple. The NFL seems to want the Rams to succeed in LA so much it does make one wonder about how delighted they must be to see the Rams in the SuperBowl playing in their billion dollar temple and the Rams throw around money like it monopoly money wasting a fortune on Goff, Gurley, Brandin Cook only to discard them.
The Bengals seem to represent the average joe and the Rams represent blood sucking billionaires who are intent on buying a Championship. In my eyes any way. TBH IDK how the Bengals can hold up against the Rams front 7, it could get ugly, really ugly. Hopefully Burrows can some how pull out some more magic and some how not only survive but win. You got to admit that would be some thing to see.

You said something about building thru the draft. Everyone does it different. There is no rule or black or white way to do it. Im Just stating facts here bud.

GMs do their job, players do their job. Why focus on billionaires? This is a game and a fun one at that. I could care less who our owner is. Try being a Rams fan when they didn’t put anything into the organization but garbage. Makes me appreciate a team trying to win after losing like chumps where the only way we could
Get a first down was to run a fake punt versus Seattle’s great teams. It’s not buying a championship man it’s making solid moves, drafting well and developing players. Otherwise we wouldn’t be here. There’s a method to the madness and it’s definitely outside the box.

You keep barking thread after thread about this team imploding, being bad in 3-4 years.. threads like Ramsey, Stafford, OBJ and we keep advancing. Time to give the Rams some credit and stop hating. Eat crow bud yes you

You are the one that said they are killing it in the late rounds so I'll leave it to you to define what you meant. I'm not saying they are doing a bad job because I think they did a good job overall with the drafts, I'm just not sure I'd say killing it. For me it means a star in the 2nd or 3rd (just drafting a starter in the 2nd should be what is expected even though it doesn't always happen of course - see the Cowboys 2nd round risks that didn't pan out), a decent starter in the 4th, a starter or rotational guy in the 5th and someone who just contributes on Offense or Defense after that. For example I like Akers and think he is a good pick, but in the 2nd round a good rotational RB isn't something I call killing it. It's a good pick for sure though IMO. Jefferson...maybe not so much.

In 2018, 2109 and 2020 who were the great picks? Every team should draft starters every year but who in those 3 years would lead you to say they were killing it. I'd say they did great with their safeties and the Center. Is that good enough to say killing it? Maybe

Dude you posted our drafts. And I’ve laid out posts with the picks in later rounds. Go look at the starters we drafted with no 1st rounders. I can’t spell it out for you any better. 2-3 starters per draft. That’s great but yes you want to mix that in with great players too. Which we’ve done in FA besides Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp
