I don't see us having both Schultz and Jarwin on this team with big contracts and when neither one can block. So IMO one or the other is gone; same as with Cooper and Gallup.

Kearse has had one good year so I think he will be reasonable. I'm not giving him a huge deal after just one good season even though I thought he was awesome for us this year as I've seen that movie before...but I really hope he is back

Gregory is going to get $15M+ per I think. Pass rushers get paid
I agree.
I see Jarwin as gone.
cost 2 mil in dead money but saves over 4 mil. in cap space.

Funny thing about Schultz. Before going into the starting role. He was our blocking TE. I wonder if all the emphasis on pass catching as the starter is why he slacks on blocking now. Think that is fixable, but even if not. We will have a pass catching TE & that Pass catching TE will be Schultz. Now we just got to go find a pass blocking TE.

Its hard because of Gallups injury IMO. He could be back for game 1 or game 10. Here is what i think about our WRs. Im probably in the minority with this because on paper and to Jerry our WR corp looks awesome. I honestly think we have too much. We dont need Gallup , Cooper, Cee Dee together. We use our TEs and RBs way too much in the passing game to keep all 3 of them happy. We saw hints of Coops frustration towards the end of the season. Cee Dee was Missing In Action for a lot of games, but he is contract friendly and in the teams control for a couple of more years. I personally think Dak has a great rapport with Wilson and Gallup. So to me its between Coop and Lamb- Can we get something big in return for one of them? Does it help us with the cap to get rid of Amari ??? Thats just me throwing it out there. We definitely dont need all 3.

I would love to resign Wilson. I think he brings so much to the table.

I like Gallup. He made so many great catches this year and he can take the top off the defense.

Dak loves Shultz. I would only keep him if its a good price. The problem is I dont think he is as good as his numbers suggest. Again though - Dak is comfortable with him.

Kearse - how great was this deal? I thought he should have made the Pro Bowl. Now how much of that was Quinn. I would definitely resign him.

Gregory - I think he can be a game changer. Bone headed penalties - yes. The thing is I could have easily seen him standing in front of the ball on 4rth and inches the other day, saying bring it right here.

But who knows. I know there are some damn good players in that group that we will lose.
You never have too many good WR. injuries happen and you must have depth.

but you cant pay them all. Cant pay that much money into one position. (excluding the crazy contracts QBs get)

is this your wishlist or is this who you think we resign?
because I think Gregory out prices himself from staying. Because with D-Laws cap hit I dont see us throwing another high salary at that position.
Wishlist. It is possible all these guys leave. I think Gregory got a better chance of staying than Schultz. I think Gregory could be top priority.

I like schultz. He may be too costly to retain. Jarwins contract probably a bargain..Schultz going to get a big contract.

Have a hunch we'll lose Kearse but I hope not. He brought a presence at safety that we haven't had in awhile. Not saying we couldn't improve there but I liked his game.

We can all improve but I'm with you on Kearse. He made a difference and deserves another chance to be even better.

Who would you let go. And who would you replace them with?

in a perfect world you would let the guy long in the tooth go. Which would have been Cooper.
Cee Dee is definitely gonna get extended before his rookie contract is up.
With Gallup not being able to stay healthy & I am pretty sure gonna go after a big payday. Realistically not gonna keep both Cooper & Gallup on the roster when it comes to paying them. In this moment. I would suspect we let Gallup walk into FA & sign elsewhere. If he stayed Healthy & was able to contribute more reliably. I would wanted to keep Gallup & let Cooper walk. (Depending on what they wanted in their contracts of course)

Replacement. Keep drafting or bring in young WRs & until one starts bumping people down what string these guys are, you have Wilson (who I would imagine to be much cheaper) #3 WR.

Cooper already Costs us 22 a yr but definitely could be cut to save cash if need be.
Cee Dee will get paid probably in 2023.
Gallup I guess could sign cheap with us, but I doubt this happens
Wilson will be cheap.

I believe Cooper or Gallup will be gone in 22. Right now I believe that will be Gallup.

This may not be a popular opinion and he could prove me wrong, but I am not sure I overspend for Gregory who in his tenure with us has played limited games for a variety of reasons and has the penchant for making bone headed penalties. Not just this year but historically. Paying top dollar for him would be a big gamble. Schulz was not willing to block this year making little money. How much do you think he will block with a big contract. I get wanting to let Cooper go but he is our best route runner and quite frankly should have been targeted more. He showed up in the playoffs. In my mind, Dak needs help to be successful. Taking away his best route runner is not the answer.

I would like to keep cooper for one more year with Wilson a rookie or Gallop at a reduced salary. It will be interesting to see how quickly he recovers. I don't see teams playing full price for him after this injury.

They may need to install some type of awning over the entrance to the tunnell in Jerryworld. I can see this happenimg again. There is a large amount of Cowboysfans that are tired of the biased officiating.

Yeah lots of the penalties called on Cowboys are legit, but the fact remains the other team is doing the same types of things and not getting flagged. The penalties that i am talking about are the non calls when the other team holds,PI and roughing the passer. We even witnessed Smith from the Vikings choking Lamb and no flag?

It seems like each year i got a few players on my wish list. I got Kenyon Green on my radar perfect replacement for Williams. Green is very powerful and would bring some nasty to the OL. Green not getting bullied like Williams did. If Green was there at 24 it would be very tempting. Green is a mauler.

Sounds to me like Jerry is preparing himself and the team for eliminating a $16M cap hit post June 1...

More Jerry - and as I recall, everything he says in this quote about "not waiting until the end of the season" was permissible under Garrett.

I for one found it interesting that in the same win or go home playoff game Jerry's stadium design led to a punt that hit the scoreboard and a WR who lost a huge 3rd down pass in the sun. It's one thing to say elements have been around since the beginning of football, it's another to build a billion dollar stadium with such obvious engineering flaws

"Elements have been a part of football since it was spelled the first time..."

Yep. Canton was aware of that when the Bulldogs built their stadium so that the glare off of the windows didn't affect play. They were smart back then.

I recall Texas Stadium had the sun facing the visitor's bench. Was a bear in September, October games.
One would think but then again, I'm sure the field lay out had something to do with revenue items such as total butts in seats and total parking slots, more so than anything that might affect the game.

As I read it, according to the architect it had something to do with the property and how it was laid out... and that's how the stadium fit.

Which would seem appropriate in the end.
