PIT gonna find a way to not give a WR a second contract if they can avoid it, Claypool just making it easy
Pitt will pay them.. If you r referring to juju. He wanted too much money. He had virtually no interest at the price he wanted. He simply performed better with AB.

there's a pretty strong history of them letting WRs walk that have contracts expire or ones that ask for big deals - was surprised Juju re-upped on a 1yr deal.

Hines Ward and AB are the only ones I can think of that PIT paid well, think they stuck Manny Sanders on a franchise tag one year just to prevent Patriots from getting him. He would've balled with TB12

Plaxico? (Admittedly don’t recall the circumstances of his leaving).

Sanders was not manny sanders here in pgh though. He was the consensus worst of the young money wide receivers at the time. Wallace, ab, sanders. But wallace and sanders wanted more than they were worth at the time. He kept developing though. At the time they could only pay one…. They picked ab, im ok with that.

so outside of AB and Ward, Steelers don't give 2nd contracts to WRs, so that means we agree or am I confused?

As am i. Its a position they refuse to overpay for. But you have examples of them giving a second contract.

They generally do not pay. They in almost every instance were proven correct. Biggest one is manny sanders. He worked out. But his best year prior to him leaving was 60 some catches for 700 odd yards and six tds. He also had 115 targets so he was not efficient. They made a choice to sign ab over him though. Kudos to him and denver for the next level development and growth almost instantly.

They generally pay if you are worth it. Otherwise they invest elsewhere. They know they draft wr so well that they can excel drafting new ones. Then letting others overpay. If you cant be teplaced, you get paid..

But i cant think of a guy they let walk that they shouldn't of. Including sanders.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Baker Mayfield tested positive for COVID-19.

Case Keenum will likely be under center for the Browns in a crucial game against the Raiders. He will be operating the offense without Kevin Stefanski on the sidelines, who also tested positive for Covid Wednesday. Mayfield's positive test comes one day after the Browns placed eight players on the Reserve/COVID list. Keenum will be a minor downgrade for the Browns' receivers. Nick Chubb looks set for one of his biggest workloads of the season.

Eagles, if Chubb gets ruled out, than maybe LV, but until then, Keenum is good enough to hand off to Chubb all day long, and Chubb is good enough to beat the Raiders

Giants have a top 10 fantasy DST. And they may be vs Minshew and not Hurts.
