Jackson was a deep threat only. OBJ can do it all. He's a top of the line receiver. All he needed is a good QB and a good coach and organization. A team that has a good chance at a SB will dive OBJ to be great again also.
It’s not OBJ’s talent that concerns me, it’s more the mentality that I worry about. Don’t want any negativity seeping into the locker room and rubbing off on other guys.

McVay- “There were no OL in the draft that were better than the 11 guys we already had”.

Creed Humphrey- “ Uh, hum! Excuse me, but I am better than most of your OL. “
Definitely should’ve taken him in round two. If the staff had a hardon for Tutu, he still would’ve likely been there during round three when we were picking.

Just a point or two of clarification on your posted tweet, BattleLyon. It is a very interesting post and pretty spot on, though.

Peters became a small cancer (in the definition that McVay and the Rams allow "a cancer" to exist) AFTER he started getting beat on pass coverages AFTER his contract was coming to a close and he wanted more money, and AFTER he and Talib were collectively screwing-up on run and pass defense.

This was after they both started to get mouthy on a regular basis with ref calls and that is when McSnead moved them both with the usual reason-M-O-N-E-Y. I personally believe they were moved because they didn't follow the example of one AD (that is another discussion) who by example, drives and fully supports the McVay philosophy of how to behave in the Rams' winning culture.

Suh didn't become a cancer but was in the wrong place at the wrong time for asking for a huge raise. If Suh would have waited a year, he may still be a Ram because we got rid of a bunch of bad contracts and the Rams would have been able to afford his asking price. The same goes for Fowler.

Interestingly the careers of both Suh and Fowler and to some degree Peters (and Talib for that matter) went downhill pretty rapidly after leaving the Rams. Along with so many other players that have left (Littleton, Johnson, Gurley, Cooks, Fox, Kiser, etc), their careers declined or flat-out crashed after leaving the McVay winning culture. That is a testament to how McSnead and the Rams treat their players out in the open and behind the scenes because everyone knows, McVay is loyal to a fault. Prime example: Brian Allen.

Good post though, as usual, BattleLyon. BTW, my sponge bath was fabulous. Too funny!

John Johnson and Troy Hill have chimed in on the Beckham signing. As expected more doubts of future success for OBJ. Also, apparently Johnson and Hill are adapting to the DC of Cleveland's defense and starting to turn their fortunes around. We shall see.

I stand corrected in my condemning posts about the Rams not doing anything to go after Josh Reynolds. Turns out, they did make an attempt to sign Reynolds but by virtue of Waiver Wire Rules, Detroit had first dibs due to their lower W-L record. My apologies indeed.

Hey CaliSkinsFan. Good to see you over here! Glad to see you still using some form of Redskins to refer to your team and not the ridiculous insane bullshit of "The Washington Football Team." Give me a flippin break!
Thank you sir!

McVay has been doing some eye-opening moves.

What's the temp on him from most fans? Outside of not running the ball enuff, heh

I, of course, am biased in his favor. But all the draft capital has made me wonder what's going to happen when the bill comes due. Then again, win a SB, who cares, lol

I get the feeling that the Rams players are on a wait and see position on Beckham. Quotes like every player needs to carve out their own role on the team by Matt. The Rams locker room is a family and you either fit in or you don't. I know Miller will but I'm also on a wait and see with Beckham.

And BattleLyon, the only pick of that 2014 draft worth his billing was and is Aaron Donald. All the rest of them are at the back-up level or are having a pedestrian career or are out of football altogether.

Me too Rambunctious. I am taking the OBJ signing with a modicum of caution because Beckham has a long history of doing NOTHING BUT stupid shit and wearing-out his welcome. When he proves he wants to be a part of the winning culture of the Rams, all of us will know it. If he doesn't, the players, coaches, and the fans will also know that and he'll be shown the door just like DeSean Jackson and others like Marcus Peters.

Until we get Mack and Zac Martin
