Davis didn't want to commit this year so he has a clean slate for next year's head coach search.
I can't imagine anyone of the the three former HC's would require much of a commitment beyond the remainder of the season...ughh

my Raiders just cannot stop being the Raiders..no matter who is in charge

I just read on CBS tha KC is interested in trade for Marlon Mack. The story said that Indy and Mack have agreed to explore trade options. Has anyone heard about this from any other source?

I've heard this for awhile. It would be a good thing for Mack, not to mention fantasy owners.

Except for the ones that grabbed Darrel Williams off waivers

I like the payout of Williams vs WFT this weekend, think he'll be the lead RB this week, even if they sign someone between now and Sunday.

Yep... And that's all I need him for to save me from starting both Denver RBs in the same lineup lol. Then I'll get players back from bye.

Well, maybe it was going to be a Kelce game anyway this time, because God knows they can't both have a good game this year at the same time and it will just be saving the Hill owners from another 3 catch for 25 yard performance.

DK Metcalf (foot) was downgraded to "DNP" in Thursday's practice.

Egads. Perhaps the Seahawks are just managing Metcalf's reps — they have been for weeks — but the mid-week downgrade is never what you want to see. Even if the Seahawks have yet to express concern over Metcalf's Week 6 status, he must now be considered genuinely questionable for Sunday evening's game against the Steelers. Hopefully we gain some clarity, or at least a "limited" practice, on Friday. Metcalf's absence would leave fill-in QB Geno Smith with Freddie Swain as the No. 2 behind Tyler Lockett. Hardly ideal

finally good news

Dalvin Cook (ankle) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.

There is no longer any doubt as to Cook's Week 6 status. Even with the Vikings' bye lurking in Week 7, Cook will be out there against the Panthers, and any time Cook is out there, he is an elite RB1. That being said, Alexander Mattison could still see little more work than usual after his recent hot play as the Vikings maybe attempt to keep Cook healthy.

Cardinals acquired TE Zach Ertz from the Eagles in exchange for CB Tay Gowan and a 2022 fifth-round pick.

ESPN's Adam Schefter said the Cardinals acquired the veteran tight end "with the idea of making him a regular featured part of its offense and Ertz has told others in the past the Arizona appealed to him." This ends an excruciatingly awkward months-long dalliance between the Eagles and several teams interested in Ertz, 30. The move should be a boon for fantasy managers who drafted Dallas Goedert and those who have since rostered Ertz, who had a touchdown on four receptions Thursday night against Tampa with Goedert (COVID-19) sidelined. The Kliff Kingsbury-era Cardinals haven't typically used the tight end in its passing game, though Maxx Williams drew 16 targets from Kyler Murray between Week 2 and Week 4 this season. Williams suffered a season-ending knee injury last week against the 49ers -- an injury that likely led to Arizona's acquisition of Ertz. Ertz's first game as a Cardinal will likely be Week 7 against the Texans, one of the best tight end matchups in the NFL this year. Goedert, meanwhile, will probably see an increase in pass routes and targets in an Eagles offense continually forced into pass-heavy game scripts. In five games with Ertz sidelined over the past three years, Goedert has averaged 6.6 targets, 4.2 catches, 53 yards, and 0.4 touchdowns. He'll be less touchdown dependent with Ertz out of the picture.
