It’s basically a joke but I don’t blame you. Fans always want a piece in a trade and they never want to give up fair value. They also often over value their young pieces.

You’re right.

I should include the draft rights to Jewish Jordan and the guy they took this year lol

I gave up all their young pieces lol

Like the love thing, you are forgetting that the salary cap….exists
And what I’m telling you is that you’re overvaluing the value of those pieces. How does Robert Williams get minutes on this Sixers team? He’s the only legit player you’ve named. Romeo Langford? How does he get into the discussion as a wing on a team with Curry Green Thybulle and even Korkmaz? Peyton Pritchard is like 4’ 11’’ and can’t even guard me. How does that guy take minutes away from a Curry or a Maxey. Come with a deal that involves Jaylon Brown or don’t come at all. Cavs Kings Pacers maybe Portland can come with better. Shit taking on Russell from Minnesota would be better than that. So why are the Sixers taking trash and sending Simmons to get a rival better. You provide some great sports takes in here but this shit is like Corky Thatcher level retarded.

The Williams thing I already said was getting flipped like Jarrett Allen did.

But yeah it’s far more likely that the Celtics are a 3rd team in a deal while the sixers end up a beal or dame.

If you don’t want picks and young players just say that.

What I’m saying is that when you stack up young players and what will likely be first round picks at 16-25 it’s very muh. Top 10 picks have value. Mid first round picks generally don’t have much value.

I always enjoy a good hypothetical but the percentage chance of the Sixers trading Simmons to the Celtics is somewhere between 0 and -10%. Unless the Celtics were willing to deal Brown or Tatum, which they aren't going to do, it's DOA. Celtics-Sixers is one of the oldest rivalries in basketball. Neither fan base is going to want to see any deal that would make sense.

Yup.

That I agree with.

They are going to work hard to send him out west

Anywho....

Nothing Earth shattering here. They talk about the usual suspects. I still think the Kings are the most logical destination. They have the kind of assets that the Sixers could use and Simmons could turn that 30 something win into a 40 something win team and a playoff spot.

Also hearing rumors of the Sixers asking for 3 first round picks and 3 draft swaps from Portland which they rejected. It's interesting that the Sixers are now considering an asset deal rather than getting current players. Clearly Morey would be doing that so he could make another move.

I’ve been saying that last part since the beginning.

You get the assets for later if you cant get the guy right now.

Agree. While the idea of a Sixers/Celtics trade is intriguing, it also seems extremely unlikely.

Imo, the Sixers will want to trade him to a Western Conference team.

The Celtics definitely could put together a fair package...but they aren't going to want to be seeing Tatum or Brown 5 times a year, plus possible playoffs any more than the Sixers are likely to want to see Simmons that many times.

Most of what they’re saying is what I’ve been saying.

Even the delayed 3 way stuff.

Yeah. The fan bases would go insane about it. I'm sure that Brad and Morey would have no problem with a deal. But they also know that the fans need to accept them.

Yeah they didn't say anything really shocking.

A Simmons for Irving deal seems extremely unlikely to me. Irving right now is a toxic asset. He could literally retire tomorrow.

As I said, the Kings are the best fit. But the Kings need to be reminded that they are still the Kings first before they start making moves. My personal preference is Halliburton/Hield but, if I'm being honest, I think that Simmons for Fox is probably the right move for the Kings.

After the Kings, things get a lot murkier. The Cavs could offer an interesting package but the Sixers would really need to believe that Sexton could take another step or 2 in his game.

The Twolves I still just don't see how they do it. 3 picks plus DLo? I guess but that 2026 1st rounder isn't ideal.

For some reason the thought of Irving going to Sacramento gave me a warm feeling inside.

If they are asking for an asset deal why would they go after a team with middling or better picks. Call the Cavs or another rebuilding team and ask for picks. Acquiring Portland picks does nothing imo

Maybe just not seeing it but what is Washington giving up? My bad, had to click it to see Beal was lost by them
And is Philly getting anything for all the assets they trade?
