but WC is way more fun
LAD is locked in NLW but the rest should come down to final few days
dodgers/rays WS anyone?
This is why the wildcard idea is such a good one.should be fun final 3 weeks
only 2 divisions up for grabs NLE and NLW
unless astros fold

I'm fully rooting for Toronto to make it.Red hot Blue Jays still have 6 with the Orioles and 6 against the Twins (and three more against the suddenly hapless Yankees)
Got to like their chances now.
This will be a strange couple of days. Yankee fans rooting for the Mets and the Met fans rooting against their own team because they hate the Yanks more than they like their own team. Plus Tampa vs the Jays on espn tonight. There will be a lot of channel surfing this eveningLet's go Mets!

that worked out wellLet's go Mets!

This script is actually pretty cool....
Except - next week, the Sox have BAL & WAS (113-193)... And the Yanks get TOR & TB (179-127)...
If NY squeaks in, they definitely would deserve it.
That's the problem with this edition of the Yankees. They didn't take care of business against Baltimore all year, and now they're hanging on by their fingertips because of it.
Isn't it time for MLB to change the playoff format? Aren't you guys sick of seeing 100-win teams in the wildcard game? How difficult is it to just take the 3 division winners, 2 best remaining records, and seed them 1-5? Come on, man. LAD-SF would face each other in the NLDS and they have the top-2 records in MLB.
AL
(1)TB (94-59)*
(2)HOU (91-62)*
(3)BOS (88-65)
(4)CHW (86-67)*
(5)NYY (86-67)
NL
(1)SF (99-54)*
(2)LAD (98-55)
(3)MIL (91-62)*
(4)STL (84-69)
(5)ATL (80-71)*
*division leader
Wildcards that have a better record than a division winner since expanding to 2 wildcards in 2012.no. All they have to do is fix the seeding between the 3 and 4 spots since both teams will not have HFA.
Also this doesn't happen frequently.
They should reseed with the 3 and 4 seed after the play-in game. Why should the Brewers penalized for winning their division and likely 95+ games and be forced to start the playoffs on the road?
