I guess the new playoff setup makes the last series more legitimate for the wild card teams. If the Astros didn't have that bye in the first series the Phils probably wouldn't have to face Verlander would they?

Brewers have about an 11% chance of getting in according to baseball-reference. Their game yesterday was an extra innings roller coaster. At one point in the bottom of the 11th the Marlins were one pitch away from losing by walking in a run w/only one out .

The PHILLIES look like they are blatantly trying to lose to the Astros to avoid passing the Padres.
Just pitching gofer ball meatballs and playing the junior varsity lineup.
