@SteelersPride with the limited bench, is this league ideal for handcuffs? Obviously some situations are different than others especially at QB. I was just thinking about that…
Have to make decisions. I think in carolina u hve to ask if backup gets heavy work like cmac. You saw last uear they do. So id handcuff him. Especially coming off an injury. Others id not concern myself with@SteelersPride with the limited bench, is this league ideal for handcuffs? Obviously some situations are different than others especially at QB. @Shanemansj13 Your rocking Watson ( who likely doesn't play), Hill ( Looks to lose the starter position to Winston) and Ben ( Doubt he makes it through the season without missing games) and that is it? Holy Cow!

I drafted 2 of my players handcuffs...@SteelersPride with the limited bench, is this league ideal for handcuffs? Obviously some situations are different than others especially at QB. I was just thinking about that…
But there are less bench spots.I drafted 2 of my players handcuffs...
really this is a perfect league to draft handcuffs because it is so deep...
But there are less bench spots.
For example: Say you roster 4 RB's. 2 starters and 2 backups. If one RB gets hurt and you handcuff another RB that is healthy then you only have one option, so if both those RB's were to get hurt you are using one spot on your handcuff. I'm probably overthinking things and should have drafted Hubbard especially since CMac was my 1st round pick but he is still just a rookie and unproven.
This is probably why I have such poor QB's...overthinking it.
5 man bench is pretty average sized... but we start more players... most leagues have only one flex, we have 3 not including superflex...
so the player pool on the bench is at a lower level...
so yes, we dont have a huge bench... but our league is deeper than the typical redraft league...
handcuffing has always been a hot topic in the fantasy world... some people live by it, others are against it... so there is nobody saying it is the right move...
But IMO, our league is deep enough that i would rather bench a couple handcuffs than hold on to players who have roles now, but will never have an improved role...
but thats me... my two handcuffs were easy and obvious... so i think i am in a different boat than others...
i will also add, that one of my handcuffs is a WR handcuff who has plenty of value now... I got michael Gallup, entirely because i own Lamb...
My son apologizes for taking so long on the clock.that draft took less than 7 days...
i dont think i ever had a slow draft on this board that took shorter than 10 days...
What about Hubbard being the bellcow if CMac goes down? I'm not sure who their other RB's are bc Mike Davis is in ATL now.my thoughts on handcuff typically lean towards "will this player actually assume a bellcow role if the starter get injured?"
that led me to Jamaal Williams, Tony Pollard, Gus Edwards - I have all 3 pegged as guys that would assume ~70% of the RB workload for their teams if the starters go down in front of them.
I also planned on getting Dillon to cuff Jones but he went in the 10th before it made it back to me. Not sure I'll pull the trigger on a cuff earlier than round 10. Seems like a bad use of an 8th or 9th round pick where you can still draft guys with high-end WR2 possible outcomes.
