That year off expect some rust, but hes not getting separation , he looks like nkeal harry, its in camp as well
Completely forgot he took a year, you’re right that probably has a lot to do with it too but remember who Cincy left OTB for Chase. Penei Sewell, if he is a beast and Chase struggles they are going to take some heat early

He was getting "nfl open" in the game with little problems, granted that's not much separation, but it is getting open. From what I saw, that's already been rectified...that or the WFT secondary..one of the best in the league..was taking it easy on him.
Ehh perhaps on some routes not consistently imho. and ive watched some practice stiff too. Ive kept a close eye on him. I hope youre right im invested multiple places as well. Id be tickled pink to be 100% wrong. However, i 100% believed in him pre draft. Treadwell, and harry were setup to suck

Well thier best corner was in press coverage on him multiple times, and multiple times he was open on slants and in routes after releasing on the line. I mean, the dude still had tight coverage, but Chase had the position and the leverage and in the NFL, that's open...you can't ask for much more than that of a rookie receiver...other than, ya know, catch the friggin ball

There's no denying the alligator arms. Might even have been T-REX arms.

Well trex arms can kill a career!

still doesn't worry me as much. He has been struggling in camp. They need to just start getting him comfortable and easy high percentage routes and catches. Get the confidence. Hes got the body to be able to out physical guys too. Think once his confidence grows hes just gonna start manhandling guys. Hes got comps to guys like aj brown but at the same time guys that are elite route runners. Its a deadly combo when he gets his head on straight.

if youre a pff fan hes one of the highest if not the highest rated wr in some time, forget exactly. If you remind me ill look it up later.

I heard Burrow was really struggling in camp too, I get he is young and coming back from a season-ending injury early in your career is tough. I truly believe the Bengals are going to regret not going OL big this offseason. With all that talent on offense I just dont get that gameplan. You saw CLE draft a QB and their first move was go OL big the last few years. Other teams have done the same, LAC doing it with Herbert

Wonder if BUF is playing their starters? At least some of them. I wanted to see Fields against BUF’s defense. We will see if he can have another good game

Watched the Bengals first half or so yesterday...I gotta say, I'm supremely disappointed in J. Chase and his alligator arms. 2 of his 3 targets, perfect passes, right in the hands, but because he was venturing over the middle and the MLB was in the area, he short armed and dropped em both. Best get over that shit son.
Well... it's been, what, 20 months since an opponent really wanted to take him down?

Maybe they've gone easy on him in practice. That might change.

Well that Bears Defense that made the speed of the game so slow in Fields eyes because he practiced against it everyday, just got carved up by Trubisky, so...

Yeah that was brutal. I’m not sure if that was their 1st team defense or anything but still, their depth doesn’t look very good

I think it's safe to say Fields won't be saying the game was slow after this week. He still wasn't terrible, but, not all that good either

Burrow has no time to throw, expecting lots of slot targets just like last year, Boyd should be safe. Higgins and Chase will compete more for looks than Boyd, imo

Back to the achillies tendon discussion...

It's encouraging that D. Foreman is getting the amount of touches he's getting in preseason. The results of all those touches however, aren't all that encouraging.
