Who is your favorite Cowboys player - active while you were alive as a fan - on offense and defense? I'm sure if I was alike to see Staubach or Randy White play they'd be up there, but I wasn't so that disqualifies that. I was alive during the 90s dynasty, but I didn't move to Dallas until 2001 when I was 11 and didn't get into sports until a few years later. So my range is about 2006- for active Dallas sports fandom. Here's mine:
Offense: Jason Witten. Longevity, consistency, toughness (never forget the play that made the NFL change the rules so that when the helmet hit off the ball carrier the play is dead).
Defense: DeMarcus Ware. Multiple tight-race 2nd place Defensive Player of the Year, most consistently dominant defender the Cowboys have had in my life. My greatest sports moments in my life are #1 2011 Mavericks championship, #2 2005 Longhorns championship, #3 2015 Broncos championship solely because DeMarcus Ware got his long deserved ring.
