a children's movie where a child is kidnapped is the premise?
dark. lol.
dark. lol.
The original wasn’t great. Just fun for kids. MJ was a pretty bad actor too
If we're honest the original Space Jam was pretty crappy. MJ isn't a good actor, the jokes are mostly lame, Bill Murray tries to help but even he is dumb in it.
Saw it on HBO Max. Didn’t seem like a movie to watch in the cinema.
Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. Never expected it to win any Oscars but decent enough to waste 2 hours to.
Wish we got more from AD, Klay and Dame before they became the goons though.
Isn't it supposed to be a kids movie?
It is. But I like the Looney Tunes and it has a basketball theme to it
Got it. I just dont get all the criticism I'm seeing online (not talking about you). Adults are criticizing a movie that isn't targeted for us lol
It's the same thing with adults obsessed with Star Wars. All the new ones 'suck' because they were kids when they saw the old ones. It's because they saw the original, back 25 years ago in 1996 and they're comparing the two. Not realizing they were kids when they saw the first one and are now surprised that the 2nd didn't give them the nostalgic feelings they got before.

I disagree with the idea that an adult can't judge a kid movie.
Kids may be reasonably entertained by damn near anything made for kids... but that doesn't mean all kid movies are made equal.
Some are better, some worse... and it sounds like the new Space Jam is comfortably towards the worse end of the spectrum.

Credit to LeBron for having fun with itif anything the movie made fun of Lebron. How he can’t win without a super team and how he is not Michael. Just weird baton to pass.
Should've cast Jared Dudley in the lead roleit really wasn’t bad at all. I do agree with the previous poster that was talking nostalgia.
The biggest problem with this movie was that it was Lebron not Michael. And they didn’t even need Lebron to make the message they wanted. The ‘Be yourself” message.
No argument from me on that. The first one was too if we're being honest.
