New out today that Space Jam 2, the sequel to the original Space Jam from 1996, is being developed with LeBron James replacing Michael Jordan.

I will admit nothing will beat Space Jam, a classic. But this is more about Lebron vs Jordan.

This will be LBJ's 1st movie. He did host SNL one time though.

Space Jam was one of my favorite movies growing up but it's far from a classic

Everyone here is acting like it's such a travesty to remake/make a sequel to this

We're not talking about a movie studio remaking the Godfather and casting Seth Rogen to play Don Corleone

Space Jam in its original form was a movie made for kids starring at the time the top nba player and biggest icon in all of sports. We all swear by Space Jam because we grew up watching it but it's really just a mediocre film

Space Jam 2 is made for this generation of kids growing up. And to them Lebron James is their Michael Jordan. It's not an insult to Michael or to the original film...it's just an updated continuation for this next generation to enjoy.

And in 10-15 years they're going to swear by it too. Then by the time Space Jam 3 gets made, they're gonna be like how can "x player" top what Lebron did in Space Jam 2 what a travesty.

It's like the cycle of Batmans and Jokers. Many swear by Keaton and others love Bale. Many swear by Nicholson's Joker while others love Ledger. Different generations, different preferences.

I liked the original Space Jam. But it was a kid's movie. I am sure this next one will be the same. A great way for the NBA to put it's biggest star in front of kids.. maybe create a few new NBA fans along the way.

It's a movie guys. Relax. The Laker fans seem genuinely upset here over a movie. SMH. no one will force you to watch.
