Arroyo should be playing every day. He’s earned it by consistently playing well. I’m not sure how he keeps getting overlooked. The way I see it, Verdugo, JDM, Bogaerts, Devers, Renfroe, Vazquez & Arroyo are everyday guys. That leaves the likes of Kikè, Marwin, Dalbec and Santana rotating for the last 2 spots(until Duran is up to be the 8th everyday guy).

Rays acquired 1B/DH Mike Ford from the Yankees for a player to be named later or cash considerations.​

Ford showed a ton of promise as a rookie in 2019 with a .909 OPS and 12 home runs in 50 games, but the 28-year-old has slashed just .134/.250/.276 in 156 major league plate appearances since the beginning of 2020. Perhaps a change of scenery -- and a bit of Rays development magic -- will do him some good.

First 1-3-6-2-5-6 triple play ever

First time the Yanks have turned 2 triple plays in one season

First time the Yankees have trailed a road series in the 7th inning or later in all three games and came back to win them all.

I will grant that it was the strangest road series ever, as the fans were decidedly pro-Yankee.

They played one of the few teams that's more fundamentally challenged than they are. I'm not printing playoff tickets just yet.

This weekend should be a good test to see if they're actually starting to get their shit together.

They face Kaprellian tonight ( #1 draft pick in 2015 sent west in the Sonny Gray deal). He's been very good through 6 starts.
