No word on how the #SFGiants are adding him back to the roster yet, but Scott Kazmir will start tonight’s game against the Cubs.

I think Sanchez is making progress so they may be reticent to 60 day him right now. Webb is too much of an unknown to place on the 60 day just yet (unless they got more information that is not yet public). Unlike most young outfielders, FZ seems more reluctant to pull the plug on free agent relievers. Maybe he proves me wrong, again, but I doubt Wisler gets dfa'd right now. I would guess Tropeano gets dfa'd. He has already been on the SF/Sac seesaw a few times. Other dfa possibilities could be Estrada or maybe even Vosler. Ruf going to the 60 day could also be a possibility, if his initial timeline doesn't look possible.Just WAGing here...
DFA Wisler?
60 Sanchez?
60 Webb?
I don’t really see any other possibilities. Tropeano? Leone?

Looks like Camilo Doval is back...Kazmir just DFAd....rumor is corresponding move will be Sanchez
Weird. I wonder why the need to get rid of Kazmir. Seems they bailed quickly on him. I'd been okay with a couple more starts. If Sanchez isn't ready yet, who will fill the 5th spot? Tropeano is in dfa limbo and could walk. Does Menez get the start? Does Frisbee or Long get the call?Looks like Camilo Doval is back...
Thinking about this further, this could be a signal that Beede will indeed stick around as this clears a spot on the 40 man roster for him. They could then option him to AAA to further work on his mechanics and control.Kazmir just DFAd....rumor is corresponding move will be Sanchez
I think this is how it will play out too. Can't find it, but I read a couple days ago that Sanchy was progressing well.My WAG is that Sanchez will be ready in time for the next open start. And since Kaz just started, he was basically a dead 26-spot. So dump him now (I suspect Kaz met his goal for the comeback and will retire) and call up Doval for a few days. He then gets sent down and Sanchez gets added to the 26 and 40 in time for his start.
Or something completely different will unfold.

Sanchez doesn't need to be added to the 40 man roster. Kazmir's move does open up a 26 man spot for Sanchez and a 40 man spot for Beede. Pitchers on rehab have to be activated within 30 days of the start of the rehab assignment. Beede's 30th day is sometime this next week. They can activate (put him on the 40 man) and option him to satisfy that rule.My WAG is that Sanchez will be ready in time for the next open start. But, as you say, that means they would have to decide on him this year.Sanchez doesn't need to be added to the 40 man roster. They have to make some kind of decision, unless they have to "shut down" his rehab, which would allow them to reset the clock on the 30 days when he does start pitching in the minors again. But, as you say, that means they would have to decide on him this year.
Sanchez is currently on the 60. For him to be activated, a 40 spot needs to be cleared (which they did by DFAing Kaz)Sanchez doesn't need to be added to the 40 man roster. If Sanchy isn't on the 60, where is he? IL limbo?Sanchez is currently on the 60. For him to be activated, a 40 spot needs to be cleared (which they did by DFAing Kaz)
edit: Wow. I was wrong. He isn’t on the 60. I thought he was. I guess that means Kaz was removed for Beede.
He is on the regular 10-day IL.If Sanchy isn't on the 60, where is he? IL limbo?
