The little article I read his dad said due to complications with Fentanyl. His dad also so they Colt had a long time problem with the drug. He also said Colt was excited because he was about to start in a drug rehab. I have known more than one person that new they were going to start rehab very soon so they go for one last big party. Not sure that last part is the case, just that I have seen that on more than one occasion.

Former Hawai'i record-setting quarterback Colt Brennan has died at age 37.

Terry Brennan told ESPN that his son died early Tuesday morning at a hospital in Newport Beach, California. The day before, paramedics were called to a hotel room where Colt Brennan had been with other people. Terry Brennan said his son had ingested something laced with fentanyl and never regained consciousness.

Only hours earlier, Colt Brennan had tried to enter a detox program at an area hospital, but he was turned away because there were no beds available.

The guy had an absolutely incredible NCAA career...

Over 14,000 yards in three seasons, a 70% comp %, 131/42 td/int, a 167 passer rating, who does that?

What a shame things went like they did for the guy, a total bummer.
