You have maybe 16 NFL games to follow, less when the bye weeks kick in. In college ball you have over a 1000 schools playing, TONS of games, TONS of players to follow, that is excitement.

Like I mentioned a loss in the college game is devastating, not so in the NFL.

How does more players and games = more excitement? There are even more HS games and players. Does that make HS football even more exciting?

At least with HS football the players are representing their schools and areas, so there is a natural local interest factor and with the NFL we're watching the best in the world and there is a competitive balance in talent between players on the field. Neither is true for CFB. It's contrived exhibition football... and don't get me started about their "exciting" OT rules.

Knowing how important wins are in the college game is why it is more exciting. You just cannot lose at that level, so every play means more. In the NFL if three teams in your division lost as you did, no big loss at all. Don't see that in college ball.

A running back, wide receiver, will never be faster than what he was coming out of college, so we see these kids as explosive as they are going to be, there is excitement.

I have been to pro and college games, a far far more exciting atmosphere at Fresno State than a Niners game.

WHAT?????????????

Where are you getting all this BS from? I can talk NCAA football with the best of them. Wanna talk Mel Anthony and Carl Ward how about Choo Choo Winters?

Seriously doubt Glennon beat him out. must be more to it than that.

How did I know about Anthony Schwartz? How do I know all that HBCU stuff?
You have already admitted you don’t know anything about college football when you stated Pete Carroll hasn’t ever been linked to any QB besides Russell Wilson.

And no, Mike Glennon was named the starter in spring ball so Russell Wilson transferred.

It may be a more "exciting atmosphere" because it's mostly a bunch of kids and graduates whooping it up, rooting for their school... like I said "rah, rah!"

But it is a vastly inferior exhibition and display of football for 2 reasons. Inferior talent and the wide discrepancy of talent among the players on the field at any given time. It's that 2nd point that really distorts it though.

Who cares how "explosive" an RB or WR is when most of the guys they're "exploding" against are relative scrubs who won't get a whiff at the next level.

Check out Barry Sanders, Tyreek Hill, Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, Jerry Rice when in college, in a word....WOW!!!!

Far more exciting game, far more exciting plays, if you can;t see that, oh well!

You make my point for me.

Those guys doing their thing against the best in the world (aka NFL players) = exciting.
Those guys doing their thing against inferior athletes who'll be selling cars after they graduate = not so exciting.

You have a very limited appreciation for the game and the skills on display if you're more impressed by what those guys do against scrubs than what they do against the best in the world.

That's like preferring to watch Ali beat up a sparring partner rather than fight Joe Frazier. That preference doesn't make much sense to be but you be you.

Nothing I do is limited, everything I do takes into consideration the history of it, those origins. My football world far bigger than yours, I have over a 1000 teams in mine you have......32.

The minute you drive a brand new car off the lot is now becomes a used car, well we never see these athletes in better shape than what they were at 22ish, I like that.

I love the NFL and like you watch every game available. Never miss a game, and get.....BEST IN THE WORLD....but it doesn't compare to LSU vs Florida, Texas vs Oklahoma, Auburn vs Alabama.

Not changing my mind so.....

If you think those guys are better football players at 21 than they are at 24 or 26, etc. then I don't know what to tell you. That's just more evidence that you don't understand what you're watching.

Enjoy what you enjoy and I'd never make this argument on the CFB forum, because I'm not interested in pissing in anyone's cheerios just for the sake of doing it. But this is an NFL forum, so when you say CFB is the better product you're going to get this argument.

Come on man do you really think a kid 21 is better than he will be, that's not what I said at all. But nobody will be running a faster 40 than they did coming out of college. The minute you hit the NFL you start slowing down.

Hell, who said I don't know college, hmmm?

So kids playing football at EBFU or pick a school are in better shape than a kid after his first season in the NFL?

Is that what you're trying to sell us?

You shouldn't have Skipped all those gym classes because you were tired of getting stuffed in a locker.

Sorry but there is no way a kid in school is in better shape than when he's getting paid to workout everyday with some of the best in the world nutrionists, strength coaches, physicians...

Wrong again Skippy. I figured you'd understand that after being chiseled out of steel.

Gym classes, when you run track and play football all thruschool you don't have......gym classes.

I guarantee whatever a guys 40 is at the combine/pro day he will never improve on that in his NFL career.

The 40 is very important, if a guy runs a 4.55 in a couple seasons he's at 4.70. If he runs a 4.35 in a couple seasons 4.55, And if a guy has a track background like so many of these guys he will maintain those jets far longer than a guy without that.

At 20=22 these guys are s quick/fast as they are going to get, never be in better shape,

Look at any of their combine numbers coming out of college, if they tried it again three years later all their numbrs would be inferior. Just how it goes.

You're not only a phony, you're also a tool.

So a great 40 means you're in the best shape? So track stars never improve after age 22? Do you know how dumb you sound right now?

For someone to claim so much knowledge you come off as an idiot.

Oh and I love how you guarentee a persons time could never improve from the combine/pro day.

Brady's 42 there Skippy.

Like you I "guarentee" his time improved after his combine. The dude was a speedster when he juked Ulacher.

Whoa whoa, we are talking football here, Hell yes all these track guys improve after college (few exceptions). We are talking leaving that for pro footbal and no more working on the speed like they did running track at LSU, USC etc etc....getting it?

Herschel Walker left Georgia with a 10.23 100m PR, no way in hell he improved on that once he left track for pro football. First thing that goes....speed endurance.

Tyreek Hill ran a 20.14 (second fastest in HS history) 200m in high school, noway he is breaking 20.50 right now. Just how it goes.

You got a lot to learn my man.

At no time in his NFL career was Devin Hester faster than we see here.

At no time in his NFL career was Bullet Bob Hayes faster than he was here.....

10,06 on a dirt track, the NFL has never had anyone faster. He was 22 years old.
