So Major League Baseball is thinking about pulling the All-Star game from Atlanta due to the new Georgia Voting Law. Dave Roberts of the Dodgers is to be the manager of the National League All Star team. He said he will have to make decision on whether he would decline to manage.
However, MLB has made no mention of the Braves not playing in Atlanta or forfeiting all their home games. Roberts has made no mention of not managing the Dodgers when they visit Atlanta, and not managing the Dodgers if they play Atlanta in the playoffs.
MLB has made no comment on the possibility of not playing the World Series in Atlanta if the Braves are in it.
Hypocrites all. MLB should be all-in or not at all. Follow the money, moving the All-Star game cost nothing, everything else hits the pocket book.

They're planning on honoring Hank Aaron, so it sucks the game won't be in Atlanta. Next best thing would be Milwaukee, where he got started-and finished.

Not sure this is the right move, or a smart move, or even a necessary move. A state has the right to make whatever laws they want, and it's up to the state voters to do the protesting or vote those officials out of office.

Not to mention that this will be a hit to the Ga. economy, which will end up hurting the people they think they're trying to help

I guess MLB/players are going to quit flying on any commercial airlines now , since they require a proof of ID?

Going full DH, switching to OT instead of extra innings, and now this bullshit. Is MLB just trying to fuck everything up on purpose?

As a lifetime Mariners fan, I've been holding on to baseball by a thread as it is.....

Nobody watches All Star games anymore. MLB can barely get 10,000 people for any one game. Nobody really cares about athlete nobility.

Play or don't play. Nobody gives a fuck.

Nobody is addressing my original premise. If MLB pulls the All Star game and apparently they have, will they also pull Atlanta Braves games.
Or will that cost too much money, can't have that. All hat no cattle. MLB cannot seem to see the irony in pulling the game that does not cost any thing and not pulling something that would have impact.
Of course, it remains to be seen if Dave Roberts decides to manage the Dodgers when they go to Atlanta.
I really hope the Braves make the World Series to see what happens then.

I am not sure all the behind the scenes workers and vendors are in agreement with MLB. But then who cares about people who cannot hit a curveball.

Milwaukee deserves to wait another decade. Imagine getting upset over an all star game with no winner declared that you resort to criminality. Maybe it could've happened anywhere but still very embarrassing. 2002 Major League Baseball All-Star Game - Wikipedia

It was controversially ruled that if the NL did not score in the bottom of the 11th, the game would be declared a tie. After the decision was announced over the stadium's public address system, fans loudly booed and jeered, with beer bottles being thrown onto the field, and chants of "Let them play!", "Refund!", "Bud must go!" and "Ripoff!" were heard. Garcia retired the side in the 11th, and the game ended in a 7–7 tie, to further booing and bottle throwing. No MVP award was given.

Let's see how baseball reacts when 75% of the people who go to games stop going. It's not just the tickets, it's the concessions and parking as well as the trips to the shops that are located near the stadium. The law didn't restrict a thing. It insuring that elections are not tampered with by either side. The Liberals don't like laws that prevent them from putting their hands in the cookie jar. Oddly, Georgia is just one of 45 states passing new election controls. This is an attempt by the Liberal and the Liberal media to prevent any laws from restricting the bullshit that was 2020.
