But from what I have heard, the players sound happier than any previous Thibs' team I can recall. Has he learned something or is it still the honeymoon period?

They're actually competitive for the first time in years. I'd expect that has a lot to do with being happy.

competitive in some Eastern conference games does not really mean "C"ompetetitive. not that the Knicks would know the difference. Glad Dolanfazul and the players are happy.

Perhaps "relatively competitive" would have been a better way to say it.

The game today has evolved into a freek show.

there hardly is any strategy involved.

You don’t even have to be as well conditioned.

I’m truly blessed to have seen the game played when there were real rivalries. A real desire to win. Players playing through injury.

Coaches, who had added to the game with personality.

The fact that you truly believe there is no strategy shows how little you comprehend when you watch it.

Strategies on both sides of the ball are more advanced than ever. You just don’t see it because it’s like you are watching a foreign movie with the subtitles turned off.

Then, when you come here, instead of listening to people who can translate for you, you pretend to know what you are talking about.

On the contrary, you think if a player drops down on the defensive side, with hands up, 5+ feet away from the offensive player is good D.

there is strategy, yes, motion offense, much better ball movement. NOW, pass it off to the center , who now, is open behind the arc.

the game today’s nowhere near as exciting as it was 20 years ago, and what is sad is the kids are bigger, stronger and faster.

A shame they didn’t evolve the brain trust of who runs it.

The game these days is to have a roster full of small forwards that can handle the ball, defend, and hit the 3. That allows defensive switching without any mismatches (unless you play one of the handful of teams with a true center). That minimizes the damage from the pick and roll and forced switching that so many offenses run.

You guys are delusional about the D.

there’s mismatching going on the court all night long, And they hardly take advantage of it because it’s all about kickin the ball out beyond the arc. it’s a mind set .

They did though

It is just that the concepts being employed have completely passed you by.

Sure.

But how many teams actually have the personnel to do that?

Not many.

He is right the obvious pick was Haliburton.

him and quickly could’ve played together.

and you don’t waste a pick on Derrick rose.

Knox is also a disaster.
