Stats don’t tell the entire story. Again, look who is double teamed and you see who is more feared. Also, Young missed time.

Yes. Young missed two games. Sweat had a great year

You seem to think I disagree with Sweat having a good year. I think Sweat had a nice season, but I think Young has been better, even though he has missed two games. Young has been getting double and triple teamed all season. This frees up Sweat for one on one match ups.

To say Young has been better doesn’t say that Sweat didn’t play well.

If Young is getting doubled and tripled teamed shouldn't that free up Allen and Payne? I believe Sweat has caused more turnovers.

I have posted numerous clips of young getting doubled and sometimes triple teamed . Remember Payne , Allen and settle are putting up good pressure numbers and style has 5 sacks

I agree but how is this helping Sweat?

No doubt he is going to be a great player. I just thought Sweat had the better overall season b/c of the turnovers, sacks, and batted passes that turned into turnovers.

Sweat had better than a "nice" year, he had a very good year. He improved across the board. But you are right, Young had a better year. He was double and triple teamed almost every play. He still made an impact every game and Sweat benefited from all the focus on Young. And Sweat took advantage of it.

Seriously? For one, the TE rarely lines up on Sweat. Secondly, the RB in pass protection almost always goes to Young's side.

Man, the goal line stand vs 9'ers where he wrapped up the RB and completely spun him in the opposite direction of the goal line was impressive to say the least. This guy is a beast! Having Sweat on the opposite side is a tandem not only would i not want to see but, for years to come will cause such disruption to opposing offenses its ridiculous. These two guys are complete bad asses!!! And, they are on OUR team, even better!!!

Sweat did take advantage and should have been rewarded for his OUTSTANDING season, not just nice. So, every year CY gets doubled/tripled and Sweat puts up great numbers but its CY who goes to the PB? Sweat deserved a PB nod this year! Not saying CY did not. Apparently this is what 6-8 gets awarded for. Tress Way, Logan Thomas, Chase Young & Montez Sweat imo are PB players this year because they played like it regardless of record or popularity fan voting.

Holcomb was in the hole on that play but he never made it that way with any force.

It frees up everybody along the line. We typically rush 4...there are always 5 OL...sometimes a TE added...then there is the RB as well. It is possible to double several.

Sweat seldom gets more than a single player to beat.
