Seems mainly the bold.

The Canes played 3 teams who were ranked at the time the game was played and were 1-2.

They won @#18 Louisville 47-34.

They lost @#1 Clemson 42-17.

They lost to #17 UNC 62-26.

Miami is improved but still not a contender......they got beat up by better teams in Clemson and UNC.

Hope whatever's wrong with Fields (hand/thumb?) he'll be 100% for whatever Ohio State's next game is.

There's literally nothing to prove what you're saying is true this season so we need to stop the assumptions. I have nothing that tell me LSU would have been some powerhouse in the ACC or BIG....same goes for Auburn who needed the refs assistance to beat Arkansas and Ole Miss. I'll give you Georgia being good in other conferences but thats about it. The teams that finished below Georgia in the conference wouldn't do anything in the other power 5 conferences

The ACC has been weak for a long time. The SEC has been the best/deepest conference for a long time.

This year they beat up on each other without any break.

Yep that’s why I wanted him to come back one more year. I know he wont if he is projected #2 but it would do him some good. Stands in the pocket too long and sometimes too long making reads. You don’t have much time in the NFL...just ask Daniel Jones lol

you've cried about the OSU schedule as a reason for them not to get in. IU is on their schedule. You also tried to tell us that many of NDs opponents were better than OSU's opponents. But, hey, if you now say IU is a borderline top 10 team (and should be higher ranked than UNC) and TAM should not be in, why again does OSU not deserve to be there?

They played 2 out of the 3 best teams in their conference 3x....Not sure what more you want from a scheduling standpoint this year when teams were only playing teams in their conference

yet you want to hold OSU's schedule against them when other than the Illinois game they also had no control....and never lost.

Texas AM is better. SEC is WAY stronger than the ACC.

And if you don’t want to give them a shot, then Cincinnati.

The ACC does not deserve to get 2 teams in. That is insane. Because Notre Dame scored 1 flukey win and played a nothing schedule? No way.

And UNC is not that good. Calling them borderline top 10 is crazy. Based on what?

While I mostly agree with your premise here kind of hard to know which conference is strong and which is weak when all they do is play each other. Not sure TAM's schedule or resume is "WAY" stronger. want to call it flukey they beat Clemson? OK, but still think that's a better win than beating now 3 loss UF. And each got stomped by the elite team they played and otherwise had middling schedules.

Also, SEC isn't that good this year. You're just making up shit. Bama, UF, and UGA are the good teams excluding A&M. The other 10 teams are mediocre or trash

happen to agree with this (other the absurd idea you think you can know which conferences are best with intraconference only)....but why, again, does ND deserve to be in over OSU? Is it really because OSU lost 2 games on their schedule through no fault of their own, as they beat who you call a borderline top 10 team and another top 20 team?

1 great team, a few good teams then a shitload of mediocre/bad teams

Too talented.

Too big of a fan base.

Too much money including them.

And one of the 4 best teams.

I don't think fan base and money matter much like many think. Isn't the money already in (as far as network) and few fans allowed at the games this year.

If this were the first vote, I guess they could use the 6 games played to keep them out as a reason. But since they were 4th BEFORE this weekend hard to imagine a team who lost remains ahead of them AND they get passed by a team who beat a lesser team than OSU beat and did not win their conference.
