They still definitely had to play a tougher schedule than Notre Dame.

Definitely? That's debatable. I'd say ND has the better win and each got crushed by an elite team (but ND also beat that elite team). Rest of their opponents are middling for the most part. Maybe TAMs a little better than middling? Not sure how we know when all teams do is play each other in conference.

Yes, being 1-1 against Clemson is a good thing. But ND accomplished it in the ugliest way possible. The version of Clemson they beat was not a top 3 team.

No playoff team should get beat down like this ever? Do you watch CFB? There's literally blowouts like this EVERY YEAR IN THE PLAYOFFS including several times in the title game

You do realize being 1-1 vs Clemson isn't a bad thing right?

And before I hear how Trevor Lawrence didn't play in the 1st game, he doesn't play defense....they scored 49 points on the Clemson DEFENSE in the first game. They also beat a UNC team who is a borderline top 10 team. Florida was the only team who had a chance at eliminating ND but losing to LSU did them in.....but the committee play favorites so nothing would surprise me at this point.

Tell me the last time a 11-0 or 12-0 team played Clemson or Bama in the title game? You're here acting like they're losing to some avg football team. Clemson is great and you can't just act like Notre Dame didn't beat them this season.....that's not how it works

Basing it on how the rankings will be tomorrow, UNC is likely going to be close to a borderline top 10 team. I'm guessing they'll end the season at 12 or 13.

I have said I can see keeping TAM home for ND and not penalizing ND for having to play an elite team because they qualified for their CCG and TAM did not......but you think ND and TAM both should be in over OSU? Based on anything other than your disdain for OSU?

Injuries are a part of football. Notre Dame is missing multiple o-lineman but you won't hear anyone bring it up because they're not Bama or Clemson

They were missing all but one of their starting DB's and at least 1 other starter. If the roles were reversed, you'd be on here crying about Notre Dame's injuries.

In the game where Clemson was playing with one hand tied behind it's back...ND barely beat Clemson.

They did. A very watered down version.

And other than that, their schedule is extremely weak. Then they were thoroughly dominated against a full strength Clemson squad.

They played 2 out of the 3 best teams in their conference 3x....Not sure what more you want from a scheduling standpoint this year when teams were only playing teams in their conference
