Yeah, they could only be left with life long heart and lung problems. But as long as they aren't dead, amiright? This is one of the major reason teh B10 isn't playing:

Heart issue linked to virus drives Power 5 concern

As soon as the Illinois player got diagnosed with potentially life long issues, it was done.

And yes, as a state Alabama is leveling off. At the University, absolutely not.
Go screw yourself. Yeah and a satellite could fall out of the sky and kill them all during a game. What part of no one college age has died do you not understand???????????

Could, maybe, possibly yada yada. Unproven bullshit.
Further to quote from YOUR article: based on limited studies and anecdotal evidence since the start of the pandemic. Limited studies and anecdotal evidence LMAO what part of don't piss down my neck and tell me it is raining do you not understand???

You can look at the state data, genius.

America’s COVID warning system.

The infection rates are at 1.36. At the start of august they were at .99. Cases per week have exploded in the last week, now labeled as critical by their own state. In Story and Johnson county infection rates are 1.71 and 1.72.

You are wrong. Dolt. As usual.

.99% to 1.36%.

A 37% increase is an "explosion"? LOL

It's not even close to a double.

A triple or quadruple could be considered an "explosion".

I've got news for you. You're not going to stop college kids from swapping spit with Susy Rottencrotch. That you don't realize that shows you likely never got laid well into your mid/late 20's at best.

The NBA kids are under a financial contract; one they can violate and get financially penalized for. Best you could do is kick a kid out of college and they could transfer to another school virtually unpunished; especially if they're just a normal undergrad. It's not necessarily teh athletes partying that will be problematic, it's the 40,000 undergrads that all tailgate with each other in their apartments for football games they can't attend.
And what do you think all the scholarship players are under?

You can certainly stop their opportunity to. Michigan State students sitting at home in their homes in the middle of the UP certainly aren't.

A scholarship. A scholarship that awards them free college that they are under no contract to actually complete. They can't be fined. They can easily jump to another school. They can easily just drop out and declare for the NFL. It is not a two way contract like a professional sports contract, where organizations can limit players behavior with fines and breaches.

What part of life long health conditions don't you understand? There's real data to suggest this is happening. Actual doctors are saying this is happening.

We've been over that 100 times, dumb-ass.

The extremely rare condition you are rattling on about has been around for eons. You are bringing up another in a long line of bullshit opinion pieces designed to scare the sheeple.

Also two of my best friends are docs and they said this is bullshit.

A few weeks of symptoms is permanent and "life long" damage.

LMFAO!!!

They can lose their scholarship for breaking team rules. So I'd consider that like a contract for payment, in the amount of a college education.

Link?

I know there are doctors pointing to the longterm care, but nothing definitive. Considering that the #1 killer in the US is heart disease, it doesn't take any leaps of the mind to assume that if you go looking at the heart of more americans you are going to find more signs of heart disease. Doesn't mean COVID caused it.

Most of the long term scares over COVID are due to the fact it is a novel coronavirus. no one knows WHAT it does, so they are looking at everything. If I have the flu, when I'm better I go back to work. I don't go get a coronary calcium scan to look for heart defects. But that is exactly what is going on with COVID19 patients, because we are wanting to learn as much as we can. So of course there are going to be unrelated things wrongly attributed to COVID until we have more time and more data to say there isn't really an association between the two.

If I'm driving down the road and get a nail in my tire, and in the process of taking my tire off the car I notice my ball-joints are bad...did the nail cause the ball joints to go bad? No. I just found it while treating the other issue. More likely than not that's the same case here. Or else this is the first coronavirus in the history of all coronaviruses (of which there are many) that causes long term heart damage. Or maybe the others did do lang term heart damage and we never put the two together. Either way, I don't have reason to be scared about long term side effects of COVID, and most others shouldn't either.

Not the same as being financially punished, forced by contract to one organization and unable to jump ship. If Tom Brady ignores team rules he can be fined. If he ignored league rules he can be fined. If he wanted out the Bucks own his contract and he can’t.

It's not over in the courts yet, but it's over. Students have no right to the information presidents used in their opinions to shut down football. The vote was 11-14, it wasn't even close. They're free to transfer to other schools.

Sure they do, these are public institutions (Northwestern exception) hence Tom Mars filing his as a FOIA. The public has a right to the info... students are part of that body.
